Packing Photo Mats ?????

What have past cruisers used as a size for the mat/picture size. I was thinking about an 8"x10" mat with a 4"x6" photo opening but I am not sure if that will be big enough for the signatures plus the pics on the cruise are 5"x7" so I was trying to do a pic size opening of 5x7 but then what size mat? is 11x14 big enough for signatures?!?! HELP! TIA!

Any suggestions? also what to put the mats in since a gallon ziploc is probably too small? Any help or thoughts appreciated!

bumping, I was wondering the same thing in regards to how much bigger does the mat need to be to accommodate the character signatures. I have been debating between the pillowcase and the photo mat. I think the photo mat is a great souvenir!!

They will "size" their signatures accordingly depending on the size of the item. We took an 11x14 mat with a 5x7 opening and it is my favorite souvenir from our land and sea vacation. We packed the mat in between two large pieces of cardboard in the bottom of our suitcases and it made it through all 4 planes, and dcl porters in great shape!

We also did pillow cases too.
