Packing outfits in bags? Wrinkles?

I am planning to pack my 1 year old's clothes in ziploc bags. One whole outfit per bag. If you have done this, do things get wrinkled? We leave in 8 days and I am considering packing her stuff now since we aren't wearing warm weather clothes here. Will they get all wrinkled?

Thanks!

I always do this and still do (and my kids are 14 & 18). I never have a problem with wrinkles. I usually pack a bottle of Downy wrinkle release spray just in case, but haven't had to use it.

I do this as well - I am always amazed that clothes are not wrinkled. I also cut up dryer sheets to put in each bag - I worry that the clothes will smell like the bag. Who knows if this is the case, but the clothes always come out smelling great!

I did this for the first time last year and the clothes weren't wrinkled. My hubby thought I was nuts when I started packing my clothes in the 2 gallon bags but then he saw how much room I had in my suit case he took his clothes out and repacked using the bags. I was able to get two outfits for my DD in a gallon bag and since they were interchangeable it helped in the mornings because anyone could pull a bag out of the dresser and get her dressed then put the bag in our day bag for accidents. I was able to fit pretty much all my tanks in one 2 gallon bag. I folded them then rolled them. DH got 2 or 3 of his shirts in a 2 gallon bag.

I also do this.. it saves space, it organizes outfits, it prevents wrinkles, it makes it easier for the airport security checks, it protects your clothes from a spilled bottle of shampoo (actually had that happen) etc etc. I do love the tip about cutting up dryer sheets and putting them in the bags.

and yes, I'd go ahead and pack whatever you can now.

Have Fun!

Thanks for all the feedback! I'll start packing as soon as I get her down for her nap this afternoon!!!

We're leaving next week, too! I haven't started packing yet, but will be pulling my son's suitcase out of storage for tomorrow. After all the reading I've done on the ziploc bags, that is how I'm doing out packing, or at least my son's.

Erin327, I'm curious...is the 327 your birthday? It's mine & we'll be at the Magic Kingdome & Chef Mickey's that day! :cool1:
