I don't know the thread you are referencing but here is my two cents:
I can almost bet that you'll find that your lil one is going to be much easier to care for on your trip than you thought!
Here are a few things that I recommend:
- take your stroller
- buy as many disposables as you can (drop-in bottles, bibs, changing pads)
- use the baby care centers at each park
- take a sling, baby will get sick of being in the stroller
- hat, sunscreen
- take an extra crib sheet for the pack n play
- we took our bottle drainer, bottle brush, and a small jar of dish soap
- take more diapers than you think you'll need (or have them delivered)
- get some form of rain shield for the stroller (premade for the stroller, shower curtain, plastic by the yard - which is what we used)
- pack light for the parks and refill on mid-day breaks
- if you're using formula, buy one of the chamber things and pre-measure your bottles for the day
- relax and enjoy
As for packing packing... plan on at least an outfit for each day and keep 2-3 extra, you can always do laundry. Take at least 1 warm outfit. Socks, shoes, onesies, tylenol/ibuprofen, gas drops, teething tabs, burp cloths, baby wash/shampoo, swim diapers/swimsuit. Some people will pre-sort outfits in ziploc bags for grab and go dressing in the morning. Pop up laundry hamper/bag for dirty clothes.
Hope this helps.
