Packing List Tip - Add Tide To Go Pen

Just wanted to share a travel tip with all of you. Add a Tide To Go pen in your packing list. Although not very cheap - it really works great!

On our last vacation, I purchased a Tide To Go pen and now I always carry it with me. It really does work like you see on TV. It's not just an ordinary stain remover; it literally "washes away" the stain. I was able to get BBQ sauce from my granddaughter's jeans, chocolate from my husband's tan shorts (he sat on the chocolate at a restaurant), and it removed grape juice from my great-granddaughter's dress.

One word of caution regarding these pens: I used one on my daughter's white shirt last year and we went outside in the sun before it was completely dry. The spot I treated turned highlighter yellow and took multiple washings and stain treatments to remove.

That's good to know.

Is it because it was white, or is it the fabric?

The chocolate I removed from my husband's shorts was outside in the hot sun at MGM Studios. I didn't have a problem; but his shorts is cotton and a light tan.

I read on the packaging after the fact (of course!) that while the fabric is wet, you should not expose the garment to direct sunlight. I still use the pen, but I wouldn't use it in the park unless we were inside long enough for it to dry completely. That stain was a killer and I am great at getting stains out of clothing.
