We are hoping to pack a few food items in a hard sided suit case -- any issues with packing fresh fruit such a the halo oranges? I plan on putting them in Tupperware so that they would be less likely to be squished as everything is getting shifted around.

I love them and they are not available on the amazon prime now which i'll be using for some other fresh/dairy items.

Why would there be an issue? The only one I think of is if the container opens up and the fruit gets crushed.

If you're going to go the Tupperware route, as long as you ensure that the lid completely locks in place, there should be no issues.

I usually pack some fruit (apples, bananas and oranges) in my checked bag. I put them in a tupperware type container. Never had any problem. I don't know of any reason to be concerned.
