We're going June 18-21...need any advice you may be able to share about packing. I think I know what we'll be putting in our bag to take to the park but actual clothing....our sons are 2 and 4...is it reasonable to pack 2 sets of clothing / day and a bathing suit/day for each? I'm thinking one outfit for morning, come back to room and swim/rest and another outfit for afternoon/evening when we go back to park....we don't have big plans for dinners out-maybe downtown disney one night...do you think this is too much/too few clothes to pack for them?
Thanks so much for your help!

It's kind of hard with toddlers because really, you never know! But I think what you have planned sounds reasonable. Two outfits a day sounds good, and you might not even need two outfits. When we went last month w/ DD, I really only packed one outfit per day plus three extra outfits (we were there 5 days). The only day we needed to do a change in the day was after swimming. I always reasoned that if we needed to, we could just throw it in the washer. We stayed at CSR and they have laundry facilities, as I believe all the other resorts do too. I was a good packer this time, both DD's and my clothing fit into one bag :p

I think it depends. My toddler neice (16 months) joined us on a trip in October 2003. She went through many more clothes than that. It was really hot-- so they'd become damp from her sweating. She had lots of popsicles and those made messes on her.

I will admit I'm an overpacker though. I bring at least 2 complete outfits a day for myself. I don't want to have to do wash on vacation.

I just went with a 2 1/2 year old and I also packed two outfits a day. Didn't need all of them but there were a couple of days when I had to use the extra. With toddlers, better safe than sorry. I'm not sure if I'm reading your post right about the bathing suits though. Are you taking one for each child for each day? I think you really only need one or two. You can always hang them on the towel bar to dry. Don't forget to take one into Epcot. The kids just love those fountains and it's nice to take off the wet bathing suit, which takes up alot less room than a whole outfit, and just stick it in a ziploc and throw it in the stroller when you're done.

Have fun!

My DH and I argue over the packing everytime! I am a packer I always try to pack what I think I'll need. Two outfits a day seems fine. Just think about what they go through at home really. Are they really messy kids or can they eat an ice cream w/out wearing it all? I usually bring one outfit w/ me in the parks just incase! My DH modo is "PACK LESS BUY MORE" he believes you should pack the essentials and buy anything else you may need. I guess that's becuase he has to carry the 4 large suitcases! Don't worry you should be fine w/ that. And if the worst possible thing happend and you did run out you could buy something (which you probably will anyway) or wash some clothes!

WAY too many clothes!! Pack two suits per kid. A swim diaper per swimming time, so 2 or 3 per day. But with the suits you use one, hang the other up to dry and by the time you would need it it's dry.

As far as actual clothes, one outfit per day was plenty. One pair of pj's per every 5 days or so. We packed one extra outfit just in case, but didn't use it. My dd who is Aug 02 girl is the messiest thing this side of the mason dixon line but she did fine. I had a stain stick in the room and after she changed into her pj's at night. NONE of her clothes were ruined by the chocolate or other things she spilled on it.

You don't want to have to lug that much extra stuff. Remember there are weight limits on luggage now!
