Ok, we're going November 11-18. I know there are no guarnatees about the temps, but how would you pack??? I am asking this because my choices when buying short sleeve tops and shorts are getting slim! Should I plan mainly on capris or shorts? Thanks!

We've been there the first or second week in November for 2 of the past 3 years. The first time, there were record highs the entire time and it was at least 90 degrees, but not bad. Wore mostly shorts, and crop pants in the eve.

Last year was in the 80's, and I wore a mix of shorts and crop pants with sandals during the day and crop pants and sandals in the eve. Went to MNSNHP 10/31 and wore crop pants and a long sleeved cotton T and was comfortable all eve.

You're going a week later, so I would bring mostly crop pants, but a couple pair of shorts, unless you're really cold blooded. You could probably get by with all crop pants and/or light weight long pants. Of course, we could get a nasty cold spell, but I hope not, since we're going back again! It's a great time of the year.

DH and I went last year at the beginning of November and it was HOT the entire trip- 90+ everyday. I don't wear shorts, so I did capri's the whole time, but if you like shorts, I'd definately pack a bunch. Hope you have an amazing trip! :Pinkbounc

Shorts and capris for sure, but bring at least one pair of pants just in case you get a raw and rainy day.

mostly shorts and short sleeved stuff, but like others have said, you need to be prepared. I was there 18-25 Nov last year and the first 3 days were warm and nice, spring weather. The last 4 were more like fall. You need a windbreaker/sweatshirt type coverall for possible cool temps at night and if a front comes through.

DH is always hot no matter what the weather so he'll have shorts & only 1 pair of jeans. DD & I will be bringing a bunch of light weight capris & DS has a ton of cargo pants that zip into shorts.
I promised the kids I would buy them a disney sweatshirt/light weight jacket so I don't have to pack them & I'm sure they'll need to wear them in the car on the way back.
In 2003 it was real hot though, so we'll still have a pair of shorts just in case!

Hey, Disney4Drew, we're going to be at Disney World the exact same days as you!!! :sunny: Hooray!!! I was wondering how to pack, too. Sounds like we'll have to pack for every possibility!

Woohoo!! DH got a bunch of Nautica shorts on clearance tonight..11.00 (oringally 50.00), but he is always hot! I didn't see many shorts for women at all! I did get some crop jeans and a cute pair of khaki gauchos! I guess I will pack a few pairs of shorts for me and DS and the rest will be capris or pants!! Where are you staying jumoo44? :)

We have been 5 times during this week. It has been in the high 80's -90. I would say shorts and capris would work. Cool mornings and evenings. Make sure if you are heading out for the night, you bring a jacket or sweatshirt. It can get cool quick.

We're staying at POP, Disney4Drew. Are you going to pack enough so you wont have to do laundry while you're there? I think I'm gonna have to do laundry, since I'm packing both cool weather clothes and warm weather clothes. :laundy: (Sigh)...Oh well. I see you're staying at Saratoga Springs! That will be awesome!

I'm a shorts/Polo/fleece kinda guy for Fall/Winter touring. Usually start the day in shorts and a pullover and take the pullover off as the day warms up and tour in the Polo and shorts. It can get mighty chilly - my wife and daughter always pack capris or cargo pants. I might throw in a pair of jeans just in case.

Enjoy - it's a great time to go! :goodvibes

We were just talking about what types of clothes we'll need this morning. We're going Thanksgiving week. I told DH that we're going to shop this weekend and see what kind of short-sleeve polos they have for him and that way he'll have them for our trip. I'm going to buy some short-sleeved t-shirts (in a size smaller cause I'm losing weight and my current ones will definitely be too big by then). It'll be hard to find short sleeves in a month or so around here. I am also going to see if I can find a pair of comfortable sandals for walking, now that I read that is a possiblity.

Thanks for posting your question!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:woohoo: I will be at POP Nov 11 - 17!!! I can't wait :Pinkbounc

I was trying the search engine for weather in November and it wasn't working. Glad that I ran across your thread!!!

Maybe we will run into each other. I will be the one with NO CHILDREN!!!
I am traveling with my DH, MIL & FIL. It is our 15th anniversary  .
My MIL & FIL have never been to DW :sad2: So we are doing a no children trip with them so they can see the adult side of DW.

I can't wait!!!!! :rainbow:

We were originally staying at POP, but I rented points from a DVC member to try out the Saratoga Springs Resort! I am hoping to convince DH to buy!! :thumbsup2

I'll be down November 1st! Last year for the middle of October shorts were ok, but I definitely needed a sweatshirt most days. I'll probably toss in cropped pants also this year just to cover the bases. Of course I buy the Disney Sweatshirt and only bring a light sweater which I usually wear on the plane down. Of course the plane is always freezing.

We have been to DW twice in Nov. the first and second week. We've had day temps in the mid 70's to mid 80's. We wore everything from shorts and tees to capris, long pants, long sleeves and lightweight jackets. One of the things I was very glad I packed was a long sleeve denimn shirt for everyone we wore them almost every day in the morning or evening, you can tie it around your waist or put it in your backpack and it takes up less room than a jacket would. My DH and DS did have zip off pants for the flight there and back so they could zip them off when we got to Orlando and zip them back on when we left to go home.

we went last year the week of Thanksgiving and most days it was cold especially at night. We wore sweatshirts every night and mom wore long pants every day

I am reading this with interest too -- here is a weather predictor I know SOMEONE on the DIS board provided me -- where I get the BEST info! :disrocks:

The weather comes up for my trip dates so just change them at the top when you open it.

I hate trying to dress for the weather at home where I am boarding the plane and dress for the weather in FL too! It is hard. I'll never forget leaving Orlando (in Feb) where it was 80 degrees to arrive at home to SINGLE DIGITS! ARG!

But it looks like capris during the day and drag along my Cape May sweat jacket for evening since I am there during Jersey Week (and I am not even FROM New Jersey but I like to visit!)
