Packing for mid-60's to low 70's weather???

We are leaving on February 26th to see the Mouse and I am at a loss as to what to pack for us to wear. It's freezing here, so I don't have much to go on and frankly, I don't remember what we wore when it was warm, but not HOT.

If weather.com is showing that the high is somewhere around 65-70 or so for the day, would that be pants/jeans weather or more capris for the day. I am assuming that shorts are definitely out, right? Are short sleeves ok or would a light long sleeve shirt be better? Would my girls be ok in skirts and short sleeves or will their legs be too cold during the day?

Obviously, we'll take jackets for the evening, but even then, I'm not sure what type to bring. Would a fleece hoodie (like a Gap one) be warm enough, or do we need something more?

That was about the same weather we had during my trip in December. I had some zip-off pants for hiking (convert to shorts by unzipping legs around knee level) and that turned out to be perfect for fall in Orlando. You will want shorts and sandals during the day and long clothes at night. To me 65 in Orlando felt a lot warmer than 65 in Maine. There is more sun and humidity year round.

wow 65 degrees would get me In shorts,even If I know one wants to see white knees. But I would wear shorts during the late morining to after 3pm then throw some pants on. I do not know where you are at,but going to a flordia climate will feel just tab warmer then what you would normaly feel at that same temp.

I am going to be there on the 20th through the 26. I am taking capris and shorts for the days. Packing sweatshirts for the evenings. For the really cool nights, I will probably take a pair of leggings or sweatpants to throw on.

I would go with capri's and short sleeve tees. Also, for the cooler evening hours a Gap hoodie would be perfect. Maybe pack a pair of slacks/jeans for your family so if someone finds the weather too cool you will have a pair that goes with multiple tops. Have a great time!

I will be there the same week-Im from NY and when it hits the 40's we are like wow its so warm lol...so 65-70 is pretty nice for shorts capris!

We are from the Boston area, so it's cold here. I guess I'll pack a little bit of everything. I'm pg, so I don't think they make zip-off pants for me. I have maternity shorts, capris, and of course, pants. I also have 2 or 3 pairs of pants that roll up into longer capris with buttons on the sides. Too bad I can't find some capris that roll into shorts.

The temperature will probably drop.

I've looked at 10 day forecasts and even 7 day ones. Within a day or two, everything was shifted. I keep thinking we're going to stay in the 60s but we end up getting another cold front and it's back to the 50s again.

As others said, it'll be warmer than home.

We were at WDW January 29- Feb 7. The weather ranged from the 50's to the 70's. I almost always started the day with a t-shirt and light fleece jacket or shirt, and rarely took it off. Other days, I wore a long sleeve t-shirt. I either wore jeans or cargo capri pants, and most day started with socks and Crocs and then at some point took the socks off - or not.

There were people wearing shorts and flip flops and t-shirts, but I couldn't have done it. Too chilly.

One thing to note is that when they say it will get up to the high 60's or 70's, that might only be for a few hours mid-day. When we were there, mornings and evenings were pretty chilly. For Fantasmic, I wore a knit shirt with a light feel pullover and a heavier fleece jacket over it to stay warm.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... we always go to Disney in Feb due to our vacation schedule and we ALWAYS take fleece coats, hats and gloves! We have almost always used them, not during the day but at night for sure.

That being said we always bring our shorts and bathing suits because we usually get to always use those as well.

In Feb/early March best to be prepared for all weather, it can change rapidly and you don't want to get caught without either!

I'm leaving next Sat, planning to take it all.

My family and I will be at CSR during the same time, and on I also want to point out that in 2008 Were at the AKL from May 17-23. I thought that was kinda funny same resorts same time, twice

When it is cool and sunny out is totally different from when it is cool with no sun and lots of wind.

I live in NYC and have lived in Chicago...I KNOW about wind.

I couldn't agree more! In our experience, the weather shifted dramatically almost daily and many times through out the day. It wasn't uncommon to be wearing shorts one day (or mid day) and be dressed like it was the dead of winter the next (or at night).

We learned very quickly after dropping a small fortune on Main Street USA buying hats, gloves, hoodies and sweat pants to pack for all weather when visiting in the winter months.

Well, at least we will definitely have our heavier coats, hats, and gloves with us since we'll need them in Boston before we leave and when we arrive home. I guess I'll check the weather and then pack a little bit of everything. It was so much easier 2 years ago when we went in May - shorts, shorts, shorts. :lol:

We'll just have to do laundry if we run out of whatever type of clothing we need and it can't be reworn. I'm glad that I bought some long sleeve tees and capri leggings to go under the custom skirts and tees that I made for the girls! I think we're going to use those long sleeve tees a lot on our trip under cuter short sleeve shirts.

I know that DH and I will be ok with the cooler weather. We did Euro Disney in downright freezing temps in November 1998. I'm more worried about my kids complaining too much. At least we'll have a stroller with a big enough basket underneath to hold all the extras we'll have to schlep to the park to make sure we have enough warm/cool clothes so no one is uncomfortable.
