I read the new regulations about flying. It does "suggest" that you do not bring food or drinks in checked luggage, however, it does not say it is prohibited. My kids drink a certain type of "milk" due to dairy allergies. We have been stuck in Florida without their milk more then once. One time a store will have it, the next time they won't. We have spent more then one vacation going from store to store to locate enough cartons to get them through the trip. About a year ago, we started just bringing it with us.

I do not want to be the cause of our flight being delayed because I packed 8 cartons of milk in my checked luggage! Any suggestions? I was thinking of putting the milk in its own seperate piece of luggage so at least if they have to search it, it should be quick since nothing else will be in that bag. I used to pack the cartons in between our clothing for more support. Any other ideas? Thanks!

Can't answer your question, but have you considered shipping a package down to your resort before you leave?

The milk weighs too much to really be cost effective to ship. If it was the only way then I would do it. I guess as long as the drinks really aren't prohibited it won't be a problem. I just hate to get there and find out they have decided to prohibit all food/drinks.

Does netgrocer carry it? You could order it from them and get it delivered.

Or, heck, if they aren't on a bottle just give them some time off from healthy drinks.

Pack it in a bag and take it as a carry on. That's how my jar of peanut butter and other snacks are getting to Orlando!

We travel often and always pack our XS Energy drinks, Nutrilite and Bodykey items. The key is to pack in a box, in the middle of luggage and in a plastic bag.
Works everytime.

What ideas are you looking for? You could pack it alone, or with other items. Ship it down or even better- skip it for a week. ???

I've packed drinks in luggage before. When we were flying Southwest and had free bags, I packed a 12-pack of bottled water in a small suitcase one time. We always bring a bottle of bourbon in our checked luggage too and have never had a problem.

As far as I know, packing it in your checked luggage isn't prohibited, but it can be dicey because if the packaging breaks, you could have a mess. If you can manage to pack it well, you should be fine.

Have you considered ordering from Amazon and having it shipped? If you have Prime, you might be able to get it shipped free or for the small fee they charge for Amazon Pantry.

you know i go to the products website and see where they carry the products. Or call the company and they will help you locate the product in the area that you in.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link her so just google dizzy dolphin. I haven't used them yet but plan to on our next trip. From what I have read, you send them a list of what you want delivered and they will get it for you. The reason I like them more than garden grocer or similar delivery services is they will go to several different store to get you what you need.

Use RumRunners.
I pack several filled with rum when I fly to a port to go on a cruise.
They have sizes from 8 to 32 ounces.
I have used them at least a dozen flights [in checked baggage] to a ship and have never had a leak !!

Awesome news! Packed a small cooler with our drink goodies and duck taped shut. DHS did perform an inspection but re-taped with their kind note. Now on the beach enjoying my XS.
