i have never seen crowds like I am seeing for this week in September. Ever. Usually we hang at the back of terminator and wait till everyone has gone in. The waiting area is squished packed with people. It took forever to get in park because people had some kind of papers with universal logo as their ticket apparently. It really slowed entrance lines. I picked this week as its historically slow.

On the Disney side, people were reporting the same thiing. The guess was more schools giving a day off for Rosh Hashanah.

I didn't look at the Wait App yesterday, but other days last week didn't look bad at all.

About the wait times; there have been major discrepancies on the universal app and actual wait times. We were right in front of gringotts with a posted wait time of 45 minutes. The uni app said 5 minutes. Hog warts express this weekend said 10 minutes and it was a Good 40 minutes until we boarded train. Spider-Man express lane took20 minutes. We have never waited that long with express pass.

Thanks....and that is weird. It was really quite close to correct this summer when we were there and seemingly verified with other's experiences at other times.

I just think what our overall thought on the particular crowd expectations are going continue to be altered as the popularity of Universal continues to grow. Point in case is I take the grandchildren every year about the 3rd week of May before a lot of schools get out and it has never been as busy at that time as it was this year.

With express pass?! Oh no. I am going during a busy March week (haven't been since 2013) and was counting on my hotel stay being the golden ticket I remember.

there are going to be some times that even with the express line, you can have a wait.
last october i used the express line for DE.
with a section of the seats roped off in that ride (due to some rehab work there) my line wait was 40 minutes.
but, i went to this ride at the end of the day, about 15 minutes before the park closed.

even with express you will have waits at times..We waited over 20 mins in express for Despicable me in Jan.We also waited about 10-15 mins for Spiderman in express.I will take that wait time over the 90-120mins standby was for despicable me and the 45-60 mins for spiderman

This is going to continue to become the norm in Orlando as UO and WDW continue to draw in more and more people. Both companies are getting smarter and better in regards to marketing techniques to smooth out the peaks and valleys in crowd levels as well.
