The girls were having so much fun trying these on! And I'm so happy the sizes seem perfect!

YOu guys will have to give me some dates that you're planning something. OOH, can we make the girls matching outfits???

I'm so excited! The girls and I went and picked up their most recent pictures from my nephew today. As usual he did a great job. He actually took some more of them today that he posted on his website www.paulvphoto.com . I think they'll come right up top if anyone is interested in seeing Drew with no teeth! Riley and I thought she looked so cute that we needed to capture it on film.

Here are some of my favorites of Riley from their "dance" sitting.
I can't decide between those two.

LOVE THESE!!! Your girls are so photogenic!!

Here is my finished outfit. Yes she has her clothes on underneath! It was the only way I could get a picture. I don't know what happened to the photo of the back. It's a halter with a tie back. The skirt is pretty full on it's own, so I guess there are a few looks. With or without the petti. And the halter could probably be turned inside out. I like how it turned out. Kirsta will wear it to the BBQ.

OH, hooray, the pettis looks great w/ that outfit....there goes my pettis envy again!

Here are some of Drew that Riley and I picked. She was having an unfortunate snaggletooth day so any that she is teeth smiling are out! I begged her to let Daddy pull that one tooth that was hanging by a thread right in the middle of the front, but it was a big no! We got some cute ones though.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these two. My husband does not allow photographs that are not "ART" on the walls (except in the hallway) and these definitely count.

BACK TO MY SEWING...does anyone have a favorite pillowcse pattern? I can' remember which one from the bookmarks I used, i know I changed it a bit, I guess I really just need the arm cut out template...

I made my first Peasant top-a nightgown for my oldest. My youngest wants PJ's rather than a nightgown. I think I will just put a band of the stars on the bottom of her top rather than a ruffle-must buy a ruffler!!!! Oldest wants one in white now and both white and Pooh for her AG doll.

I'm leaning towards Feb 3 (or maybe 1st) to the 8th for me and oldest DD. I haven't even mentioned it to DH yet though. Jet Blue doesn't have their schedule out that far yet.

Please take lots of pictures of that first meeting. You can surely use that evidence when/if a wedding does take place.

Absolutely!!! I don't know why I was so nervous about traveling with my little one. She's is a bit more um...challenging (strong willed) but she really did great on our trip-especially considering she was on the penicillin that can make you feal lousy. Traveling with an almost 10 year old will be a piece of cake-assuming we have no snow here.

Yeah, you WILL BE THERE. You can't make me cry on my birthday! How cute would the two Lilys be together? So don't go steppin' on any needles or pins or anything, okay? I think my DH will be the only guy around

I'm Going to DISNEYWORLD!!!
Now do you want the long story or the short story? Believe it or not, here is the short story: We were planning to go to Hawaii for my big birthday in February (40 ) but we have to use up some timeshare weeks we have banked with RCI or we will lose them. I could not get anything in Hawaii. Now I really just didn't consider going to Disneyworld and staying off-property when there are SO MANY resorts I'm dying to try, but I got an email from Heathersue yesterday and realized she was going home the day before my birthday. I thought to myself "she needs to stay one more day so she can celebrate my birthday at Disneyworld for me" WAIT Since Hawaii is looking grim (well not the place, but our prospects there) let me just check Orlando availability...HEY! I can get a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo right next to Disneyworld with no additional cost to what I've already paid out! And I could basically get 3 of our 6 plane tickets with FF miles (thank goodness because they were over $600 a ticket after fees etc. ) SO I'm pretty sure DH said go ahead and I just booked everything! Happy birthday to me! I love my DH.

So funny! I am so excited about going to Disneyland you just the opposite! Happy Birthday to you!

I am so honored that you are planning a trip to WDW JUST so you can meet us.

I am so jealous!

I got a package in the mail on Monday. Guess who it was from? It was from JEANNE!! She is the most incredibly sweet, giving, caring, person! I pmed her a while back because I loved the bracelets she made for herself and Jayden to wear to Disneyland. I have to wear a medical alert tag and I really wanted a Disney themed bracelet to wear with it. Jeanne said she'd make me one. Well, she ended up making me TWO. The part that really got me is, SHE DID IT FOR FREE!! Here they are. Aren't they pretty!?!?!

Plus, there was a bonus in the package. Luke made a bracelet just for Tessa. Here she is as she pulled it out of the bag. I'd say she likes it!

Here's a closeup of the bracelet Luke made. Jeanne said he picked out all the beads and the order they'd go in. Isn't my future son-in-law talented?

ETA: She hasn't taken it off since she got it, not even to sleep. I had to talk her into taking it off so I could get a better picture of it!

Jeanne, I am overwhelmed by your kindness. Thank you SO much! It's no fun to have to wear a medical alert tag EVERY day. You've made it much more enjoyable!!!

I LOVE the first, middle and last if I have to narrow it down!

I know! Last weekend we had so many people in our store it was like Christmas! We almost ran out of adult t-shirts! At one point the adult tshirt table looked like a mountain on fabric! It was crazy! The clearnace is actually marked down 40% and then you take an addition 50% off. It adds up to about 75% off. I got tons of b-day presents and clothes!

Darn, I almost hit the mall today for the free movie!

I think I have to pass on this BIG GIVE. I have to work this weekend and don't think I can make the deadline. But I'll keep an eye on the list, to see you need help and I can squeeze something in.

STEPH, I made a pink bracelet for my mom and me w/ silver letter blocks that say HOPE and they had blocks at the bead store that had ribbons on them too. The ribbons are just engraved in the blocks like the letters but I used pink beads so you get the picture. I'll have to take a picture. My mom and I wear them EVERY day for like 3 years now. Her BFF died of breast cancer a few years back.

Sorry, my normally angelic boy burst into tears when I told him to walk the dog because, gasp, he wanted to watch Zack and Cody. Tears! And he is almost nine years old. I told him there were plenty of people who would love to walk adorable Scrappy each day without complaining and sent him on his way.

Oh, what were we talking about?

So I saw this beautiful bracelet in an ad in a Glamour magazine I think and tried to track it down via the internet but couldn't find it. It was pink and sliver beads with the pink ribbon beads on it too. Although, HOPE beads would be cool too. So if this is something you would be interested in I would gladly pm you and see. And I will definitely meet you in February! T and I can drive over together!

Ok, I am off to rest now. I feel like that's all I've been doing. I have an appointment with an ear nose and throat doctor Monday. She will probably tell me it's all in my head (lol, but really not). Although it is literally all in my head. I cracky myself up!

Perfect nightgown/pj fabric!

Thanks I saw this fabric at Walmart and thought I don't i need any more Pooh fabric and then someone posted an oufit with this fabric and I just had to have it. I bought all they had left (5 1/2 yards or so) and I didn't think it would be enough to do 2 nightgowns so I got the other fabrics. I really love the stars one too.

I think a few made size 8 for her and they fit. Do you have an Aline pattern? This link tells you how to adapt any Aline into a pillowcase style.

1. I have a singer machine with a snap on foot. I ordered the ruffler attachment they make for it, but it is not the nifty gadget you guys have. It is just a wider presser foot. Where can I get one of the cool rufflers for a snap on shank?

2. I think it was designingmouse who posted about what material to use for pettis, any idea where i can actually purchase said material? I checked our joann and hancock and they did not have any that would not need an edge finish of some kind.

All help would be greatly appreciated!!!

okay, I'm really jealous of everyone going. We may be going in January or February but I won't know anytime soon.

DH has been getting more calls and initial phone interviews for the job in Salt Lake City. I told him to go ahead, it's a tough call for me since Delaney has a preschool she loves, friends here, I just started making friends with some of the mom's at school, and my parents are here so moving 2/3 of the way across the country is a tough call for me. I just don't want to hold DH back and it really would be a fiscally responsible move for us. Just hard to leave the only place I've ever lived this long, I was an Army brat, the DC area was where we were stationed last and I've been here more than half my life now. But on the up side we could buy a lot more house out there in Utah than we would get here in the DC area for a lot less $$$. And there are a few Disboutiquers out there.
