Well. I thought we had taken care of the ant problem and last night I moved a hamper in the corner of the room and found it FULL of ants. There is a crack in the wall (no doubt from the sinkhole) and the ants were filing in through it. This was at 12:00 at night at the same exact time that Lily pee'd on my dryclean only bedspread!!! UGH! I vacuumed up what I could of the ants then focused on my pee'd bed. I said I didn't know what to do w/ the laundry basket, I didn't want to move it outside but I didn't want to spread the ants to anywhere else in the house and I had just loaded the washer. He said, well they don't seem to be going anywhere but the laundry basket so just leave it until tomorrow, I'll take the day off and we'll figure it out.

I can't get the bug guys to call me back, B doesn't want to spray chemicals in the house anyway (we don't use any chemical cleaners in the house or our yard) AND we aren't supposed to fix the cracks and stuff from the sinkhole b/c they have to document how much they've changed since we filed the claim and do an estimate for repair. So I can't caulk the cracks that are letting the ants in...I think, but my public adjuster is also not calling me back.

...t.

Try some baby powder! Seriously, I have read that ants will not cross baby powder, so lay some down near the crack that you think they're coming out of. I tried this once when we had some ants coming in and it seemed to work. I'd rather have ants in the walls than where I can see them! :rotfl:

Hey everyone! It's a girl! We now have three princesses!

The new baby arrived on July 2nd, 2008!

It was a very easy delivery. Four pushes and baby arrived! She entered the world at 12:38pm, just in time for lunch! She was 7 lb. 1 oz., so for me pretty small!

Her name is Lillian Kate and we are calling her Lilly. Her sisters are screwing up her name though and calling her Ella :confused3 ! I have no idea why. So at this rate, that will be her nickname!

She is an easy baby :cheer2: and sleeping about 4-5 hours at a time. I am just hoping that continues! I promise I'll post pictures in a day or two after I download them!

CONGRATS - I am sure it is a very exciting time for you all. I hope she keeps being an easy baby!

Can't wait to se pictures!! princess:

Please let us know what you think! We may go see it tomorrow or Friday. AbbyGrace is LOVING all things American Girl lately.

BTW! Did anyone get the new AG catalog in the mail yesterday? I am SO EXCITED! They've come out with more bitty twins! Now I can get AbbyGrace the bitty twins that are ASIAN! WOO HOO! I'm thrilled! This is the reason we buy AG - they have dolls that look like my DD. (Did you see this, Cindee?) SO, it looks like bitty twins will be on the Christmas list!

We got ours yesterday too. DD circled everything that she wanted Santa to bring...I think the whole book is circled! We actually only have one AG doll right now and she's Asian (however, my DD is not...she's just obsessed with Asian people...not clue why. She actually seeks out Asian children when we are in public to say Hi). She tells everyone that Miss Claudia (the doll) is adopted from Korea!

Also interested in hearing the movie review...that's part of the plan for this weekend.

Great costumes Love the little mermaid one!

Wow!! These are great! I haven't really worked with satin yet, but I think it would be really hard! Great work!!!

They all came out great! i love the Snow White dress! It is my favorite!

Thanks everyone! The hardest fabric was the peplum on the Ariel dress. It was lame (that's lam-ee, not lame :) ) and it was HORRIBLE. It slipped all over the place and frayed and was just ugh.

The satin wasn't that bad. It was the washable stuff from Joann's.

I really liked the Snow White one as well. That was my most recent, aka most experience. Funny though, I did the arms the hard way with the teardrop peek-throughs of the red. We went to breakfast at Cindy's castle, and my DD saw Snow White. Her dress had STRIPES! And my DD got mad that her dress wasn't right. I said it's Snow White's dress that isn't right!!!

Whew! I just introduced myself and already I am way behind. I'm back on page 169!

Anyway, here (hopefully) is a picture of the Snow White dress I made my daughter. It came out a little low cut. And this isn't the best pic for the viewing of the dress, but whatever! :) I think it was a Simplicity pattern.

You made it... that's fantastic :worship:

I wish they would come out w/a toddler doll. I am not a big fan of the bald headed baby dolls and I don't want to spoil later fun by getting little and AG doll now. I LOVE her fisher price "sweet as me" dolls but they are only like 13 inches so the doll patterns have to be resized and I am too lazy. Maybe my MIL will do it for me. I just wish I could find one w/ curly hair for my little lily.

I just put photos in the photobucket since I hadn't done that yet. I will try to keep up w/ it better.

...t.

The bitty baby twins are like toddler dolls. They have hair, and they look like toddlers. They're really cute!

Does everyone else have problems with our group photobucket site? For instance, I clicked on Tom's userid because I wanted to see his creations a while back. But, I couldn't get to page 2 of his designs. When I clicked page 2, it would take me right back to the main page with ALL the pictures- GRR!!! Teresa said she has the same problem.

I have the same problem! Can't get more than the first page of any one person's designs.

AW! Congrats! Glad it was an easy delivery. Welcome to the world, Lilly!

SMART GIRL! How sweet!

I also made the kids matching Paradise outfits. We thought the material looked like paradise.

And, I just thought she looked pretty cute in this picture!

and, here is Arminda in the skirt I made her, with a little friend she met while we were swimming in the pool at our hotel:

I made Corey a tie to match from a pattern we found on Burda Style I think I put it in the bookmarks. The bottom isn't all wonky like it looks in this picture, it was hanging crooked! I was very careful to make sure all the corners matched up! :

And, all three of them together. NOT the best pictures! :rotfl: The sun was in their eyes, but it was the only time I could get them to all stop at once!

I wore a green top and skirt the color of Corey's shirt so I would coordinate. But, alas, I have no pictures of myself! Which is probably just as well!

Those outfits are wonderful, even the tie!!I really like the colors. (They would even be good for AK!) Your kids are precious.

I called Mayo clinic yesterday. I am waiting for a call back from them today. I also called my insurance. To get it covered I will have to get my pcp to make an out of state referral and then they will decide whether or not it will be allowed. I have mentioned it to my pcp before and she didn't think it was necesary so I am hoping that I can convince her that it is time.

I need to get a full copy of Riley's chart. I have tried in the past and they have sent just bits and pieces. I was trying to get it about a year ago because I think that they have things about me written in there. I am wondering if that is why I am having trouble getting treated. I am going to go next time and watch and make sure they are copying every single page!

What would happen with insurance if you happened to be on vacation near the Mayo Clinic and she needed treatment? :rolleyes1

I have the exact same problem so I just have to click on the entire album and search that way.

Very good!!
I used thatpattern for my DD BF. Those sleeves were tough!! I am impressed that you used satin!!!

So just wanted to have a shameless pity moment...I sprained my ankle!!! And it's pretty bad. Luckily this happened now and not in Sept or poor DH would have to try to figure out how to push DD in a stroller and me in a wheelchair cuz there is no way I can do all that walking :rotfl:

I fell walking out of my own house (apparently forgot there was a step :confused3 ). Let me tell you, nothing slows you down like a sprained ankle OR and when you drive half of the day for work...nothing hurts worse than trying to drive with a sprained right ankle! I had to drive 3 hours straight yesterday. Then, because I'm a gigantic baby about icing it, my DH took my ankle and bandaged the ice packs to me when I got home!!!

OH and the worst part...I was on a really good kick going to the gym and now I didn't get to go yesterday. I had been going to the gym 3 nights a week and doing water aerobics 2 nights. Water aerobics is tomorrow so I think I'm going to skip the gym again tonight and start with water aerobics and see how that goes...but I was told that it might hurt for 6 weeks?!?!?! Has anyone else sprained an ankle? Did it hurt for 6 weeks????

:rotfl2:
I did the teardrops as well. I am hoping that my daughter doesn't get mad about the sleeves! I wish I had found that out before I spent 2 hours and four burnt fingers (ironing) on the dumb things!

OMG, that sounds painful!!!! I had a 3rd degree sprain when I was in college from a cheerleading mishap and it was awful! It was soooo swollen that they couldn't even tell if it was broken. I had to be put in a soft cast for a week or two and then I was moved into the walking boot for about 4 more weeks. It was still a little sore after that. Hope it heals for you quickly!

So, I got to go to Hobby Lobby today, woo hoo! But, I found they were more expensive than Walmart, and Walmart actually has a bigger selection. I didn't find everything I was looking for, but thankfully they had some Minnie material. They also had some remnant pirate material and I was glad to find that. Here is a picture of my stash!

th_July2032.jpg

I'm so far behind right now it's not funny. I promised myself to be fair that I wasn't going to comment on anything since I know I'll miss some sute stuff (and it's ALL been super cute), but I had to warn you about those bandanas. I used the Mickey in the center as an applique on a peasant top for my dd4 & it's faded REALLY badly. It would look cool if a vintage-y thing was what I wanted, but since it's really not I'm a bit irritated. They're really cute, just be careful how you use them.
