Hi Everyone,

Just coming out of lurking for a moment...

Twob4Him: My dd is 8 and tells me she is too old for ruffles. Now, I don't think she is, but I try to respect her wishes and make clothes that don't have a lot of ruffles. I could still make them, but it'd be a waste of time because she would not wear them. My youngest will tell me she doesn't like them but will wear them occassionally.

As usual, I have enjoyed looking at all the outfits ya'll have been posting. I have especially enjoyed the Wall-E customs though. I wanted to make one, but didn't know what to do with the green fabric that is out there. I ended up making one out of regular fabrics. Anyway, here is what I came up with.... (Pic is posted with permission of the child's paents and I am distorting her face per parent's request.)

I LOVE this! I've wanted to make a Wall-E custom, but my DD CAN NOT wear the green that is in the fabric that has Wall-E on it. This turned out really cute!

Heather-I tried to look for a picture online, but couldn't find one. I am going to go back to Home Depot and see if I can find the card that I had before. I lost the card somewhere.

I love all of the outfits that have been posted since yesterday. I absolutely love the Wall-E dresses and the Paradise outfits.

We are off to see Kit today! Riley has been waiting for 2 years for this movie to come out. We are going with some friends so this should be a lot of fun! I'm just glad to be getting out of the house and not because I am driving to the doctor.

You ladies have a great day!!!! I actually started got all of my stuff organized and started sewing last night. Hopefully I'll have some pics to contribute soon!!!!!!!!!
Have fun! Nikki wants to see it. I am still surprised when we were at AG place in Chicago Sat and my mom told her she could get a new doll that she didn't get Kit! she got Josephina. We love the AG dolls in our house! Nikki has 7! She loves the bath tub and styling center too.

Whew! I just introduced myself and already I am way behind. I'm back on page 169!

Anyway, here (hopefully) is a picture of the Snow White dress I made my daughter. It came out a little low cut. And this isn't the best pic for the viewing of the dress, but whatever! :) I think it was a Simplicity pattern.

Last one for now...Ariel dress. Of course, DD insisted on wearing a pink shirt underneath it.

Hi everyone! I am so amazed at all the work you guys turn out! Sorry I have not been around. Crazy week...again! FIL is getting a motorized scooter and we have been getting everything straight for a lift to be put on my van. I quit my job on Saturday!:cool1: I have worked for the same company for 18 years, so this is bittersweet. We are lucky enough to be finacialy secure for me to do this and we don't have to worry about who will be here with FIL and the kids. So, I am excited about hanging with the kids!

Here are some pics from our 4th parade. The kids had a great time being with Pepaw and DD got lots of people yelling that they loved her dress.

HS & TJ - I am so glad to hear your GM is doing better. My GF had CHF and lived with it for years, he just learned over time what it felt like when he needed to have fluid drained. I will continue wo pray for her and your family.

I love my pcp! She treated her for a while and then just said that this was over her head and referred us back to the pediatric urologist. I think that Riley is just a bad case of falling through the cracks. They have this normal formula of what they do for bladder infection kids and it's not working for her. There really doesn't seem to be much place for a kid that doesn't fit into the puzzle spaces.

I have been talking to a patient advocate there and I told her how disgusting I think it is that Riley got sooooo much attention when she had her tumor. I had to actually ask them to keep some of the interns away from her because we weren't sleeping at all they were visiting so much in the hospital. She was like a freak show. I actually found out she was having surgery by overhearing a doctor bragging to somebody about how "awesome" it was and that "the tumor is the size of a basketball, this is gonna be great!" Now that her problem isn't something these guys are going to get to write a paper about I don't seem to be able to find any help. I guess a kid in pain isn't as exciting as a giant tumor.

I hope that you are able to get the help you need and soon!

And, all three of them together. NOT the best pictures! :rotfl: The sun was in their eyes, but it was the only time I could get them to all stop at once!

I love these!

And PLUG TIME!

I updated my TRIP REPORT!!!

Please let us know what you think! We may go see it tomorrow or Friday. AbbyGrace is LOVING all things American Girl lately.

BTW! Did anyone get the new AG catalog in the mail yesterday? I am SO EXCITED! They've come out with more bitty twins! Now I can get AbbyGrace the bitty twins that are ASIAN! WOO HOO! I'm thrilled! This is the reason we buy AG - they have dolls that look like my DD. (Did you see this, Cindee?) SO, it looks like bitty twins will be on the Christmas list!

I wish they would come out w/a toddler doll. I am not a big fan of the bald headed baby dolls and I don't want to spoil later fun by getting little and AG doll now. I LOVE her fisher price "sweet as me" dolls but they are only like 13 inches so the doll patterns have to be resized and I am too lazy. Maybe my MIL will do it for me. I just wish I could find one w/ curly hair for my little lily.

I just put photos in the photobucket since I hadn't done that yet. I will try to keep up w/ it better.

I can't get the bug guys to call me back, B doesn't want to spray chemicals in the house anyway (we don't use any chemical cleaners in the house or our yard) AND we aren't supposed to fix the cracks and stuff from the sinkhole b/c they have to document how much they've changed since we filed the claim and do an estimate for repair. So I can't caulk the cracks that are letting the ants in...I think, but my public adjuster is also not calling me back.

...t.

The alcohol in Windex will kill ants and that's what I use, so if you want a "chemical free" ant killer, what if you used just straight alcohol to kill them and then just wipe up the dead ones? Not quite "chemical free" but almost.:thumbsup2

That's funny, I have been using my Green 100% organic all purpose cleaner (one that I LOVE) and it kills the ants too. I was trying to point out to my husband that not everything that will get rid of the ants will necessarily harm us, but no dice. It doesn't however keep them from coming back which is our current dilema. Thanks for the tip. If I hadn't tried the spray just out of desperation I wouldn't have thought of it.

Cool! I am glad that works. What about an insecticidal soap spray? Surely some of those are green.

Speaking of my little liliana. You know, she doesn't usually get to surf the dis w/ me but last night we were in bed and scrolling through some pages on her dad's blackberry (can you say addict?:confused3 ) and she said "Who is that mama?" I said "THAT is Tessa, she sewed that pillow all by herself" She said "I LOVE TELLA! She's my best friend." I said "her name is TeSSa" She said "I know, she's my very favorite friend and I love her" Then she called her Tara.:rotfl: :rotfl: I'm sure she'll figure it out though.

That is SOOO sweet!!!

That is SO cute!!! Love it!! The swirly fabric is perfect!

I LOVE this! I've wanted to make a Wall-E custom, but my DD CAN NOT wear the green that is in the fabric that has Wall-E on it. This turned out really cute!
I'm with AbbyGrace! If I try to wear lime green, my whole face turns green. Like this- :thumbsup2

You're so sweet to look for that picture online for me. Thank you!

Wow!! These are great! I haven't really worked with satin yet, but I think it would be really hard! Great work!!!

Congrats on being able to stay home with the kids!!!!

It looks like you guys had a great 4th! So cool that Moonk got compliments on her cute dress! Also cool that you got to see Ronald McDonald and the Hamburgerlar!!!!

Thanks for your prayers for our grandma.

Make sure you put tags on them so people can find them easier!!

Does everyone else have problems with our group photobucket site? For instance, I clicked on Tom's userid because I wanted to see his creations a while back. But, I couldn't get to page 2 of his designs. When I clicked page 2, it would take me right back to the main page with ALL the pictures- GRR!!! Teresa said she has the same problem.

Mall of America is getting an American girl store!!!!
:yay: :woohoo: :cheer2:    :cool1: :cool1: They said it will be open just in time for christmas!!
I have loved everyones pictures from the AG stores and can't wait for dd to get a little older!!

Hey everyone! It's a girl! We now have three princesses!

The new baby arrived on July 2nd, 2008!

It was a very easy delivery. Four pushes and baby arrived! She entered the world at 12:38pm, just in time for lunch! She was 7 lb. 1 oz., so for me pretty small!

Her name is Lillian Kate and we are calling her Lilly. Her sisters are screwing up her name though and calling her Ella :confused3 ! I have no idea why. So at this rate, that will be her nickname!

She is an easy baby :cheer2: and sleeping about 4-5 hours at a time. I am just hoping that continues! I promise I'll post pictures in a day or two after I download them!
