How long before your trip did you receive your package from disney? We are leaving Aug 31 and I have seen that alot of people (those in the U.S.) who are leaving around that time have received their stuff. Is it different for those north of the border? :confused3

The last time we went in September 05, we never received anything from Disney...including our ME tags so we just picked up our luggage and took it on the bus with us. They gave us a package of maps, coupons and stuff when we arrived at ASMU. I am leaving September 10th and still haven't received anything.

I would call in a week or so, if you haven't recieved anything.

I will if I don't get mine a few weeks before we leave in Sept. I want to use ME.

I have heard that they give you everything at check in if you are up in Canada. Others have posted about having to phone about the ME tags so they could use ME. I guess Disney doesn't want to have to pay the extra to send it up here.

I'll be there on the 6th of september and I received my luggage tags for the magical express yesterday. They were shipped by UPS. I would phone if I were you.

Does anyone know if/when you should receive your plane tickets booked through a disney package.

I received a voucher for my hotel/air tickets. But not the E ticket or actual ticket to be able to use web check in?

Thanks

DME vouchers arrive about a week after your final payment is made (and once are you are within 45 days of travel) via UPS.

YES. Thanks to customs, it can take some time for our Disney travel vouchers to arrive.

We're from London, Ont leaving Aug 15 and our package just arrived this week. Our ME tags however arrived about 3 weeks ago. Final payment was made end of June. Sounds like you're still within an acceptable time for receiving you package if ours is any indication. Have a great trip!

As per all the other replies, I think this warrants a full "that depends" or "your guess is as good as mine".

We're going with another family - leaving on the 25th of August. They paid off their package well before we did, yet still haven't received their DME tags - we, on the other hand, got them a week and a half ago. Our friends have called and Disney has assured them the tags are now on thier way.

I would, however, like to get the souvenir luggage tags prior to departure - the other info and stuff I don't care about. It's just another thing to pack as far as I'm concerned. BUT, if I have to take all the pamphlets and stuff to get the fancy tags, I'll do so. We leave three weeks from Monday. If they haven't arrived by about Wednesday next week, I'll probably call.

We received our Disney package today and our DME package about 3 weeks ago. We arrive at POR on August 27.

We leave on Sept 7th and received our DME tags today by UPS but not a Disney welcome pkg, I guess that will come soon though.

Thanks everyone for your responses.
One more quick question...Did you book your trip yourself or through a TA or Disney Specialist? I booked ours through a DS so I am wondering if that is why it is taking longer??

I book through CAA and usually receive our Disney documents together with the ME package from CAA about 3-4 weeks before departure. The time between the final payment until the package arrival is the longest couple of weeks that I know of.....:rolleyes1 waiting, waiting, waiting...

I just got an email from my DS and she has our DME package and will send it with the other once it arrives. I don't know if I can wait much longer - LOL!

Thanks everyone.

I used a DS as well (maybe the same one, LOL) and I was told that Disney would send her all my documents and she would go through it and then mail it to me.

Enjoy your trip:-)

Got the docs and luggage tags today - the day after I posted about being a little concerned about it not yet arriving with departure less than a month away. Funny how things work that way.

Just one complaint though. I do NOT like the luggage tags this year. Two years ago they were the funky 3-D effect tags - the ones with the ridges and when you tilt them you get two different images.

I would have thought tags for Year of a Milliion Dreams (Part II) would be just as nice - but they're just very plain with a little sparkly bit as part of the picture.

They're just, bland.

Actually, the ones for the Year of Million Dreams (Part 1) were the same.

The 3D ones you are referring too were actually from the Happiest Celebration on Earth (Disneyland's 50th). I totally agree, they were MUCH nicer!!!

Hopefully when Disney celebrates Walt Disney World's 40th in 2011, the tags will be MUCH better. :)

Yup, those were the ones. I forgot that it was the year with Disneyland's 50th Anniversary - makes sense that the tags were pretty elaborate that year.

But really, does it cost THAT much more to make the 3-D effect ones?!? I mean, c'mon, those little 3-D pictures were the standard prize in a box of Cracker Jacks when I was a kid!
