We were there in2007 for Dec 23 thru Jan 1, the crowds were lite the first few days then bam the crowds hit.
We handled it by getting to the parks right after or during rope drop, saw all the things we wanted to see and more. We left the parks around dinner, tho our teen kids stayed later, they managed the crowds just find.
The thing to remember is there will be crowds, that will slow you down but as long as you tell yourself not to let it bother you, take it in stride, plan around it, you will be fine. I just wanted to be there during that particular week because we celebrated our 35th wedding on Dec 29, it was important to me to be in Disney to do just that. In retrospect I am eternally grateful as there will be no more anniversaries to celebrate as my husband passed this past March, so I am glad I chose to navigate the crowds to fulfil a dream I had. No second chances for me.
Now for my next Christmas trip I am planning a bit earlier in December as I am planning for Dec 2 thru 12, 2012. Thinking the crowds will be less and I really want to be home for the holidays that year and my daughter and I want to do
MVMCP, which had stopped by the time we arrived in 2007.
