We've never ordered anything to be delivered to our hotel, but I'm wondering if it might be my best option in the following situation:
I'm Canadian and planning a vacation in December. I want to order some t-shirts to wear during our trip, and found an option I really like from a US-based seller on etsy. The problem is, to ship the shirts to Canada is going to cost almost as much as the shirts themselves, plus with some postal worker striking in Canada they might not arrive in time. So could I have the shirts shipped directly to my hotel instead? Shipping to Florida would cost 4$.
The questions I have right now: how do I indicate on the shipping information that I'm a guest staying at the hotel? How far before my arrival will they hold a parcel? I believe there's a charge for receiving packages (we're staying at the Poly)? Would I include the cost of the shirts in my customs declaration when returning home? Anything else I'm not yet considering?
