Are those reservations like Disney property ones where you can book with a deposit and pay the balance up to 30 days out or do packages with Good Neighbor hotels require full payment at booking?

If you are booking with Disney or Costco then yes you can pay of the balance at you pace after a deposit. If you book seperatly i do not think this is an option.

Thanks! I’ll be booking through Disney. Just trying to get an idea before I got that far. :)

If my options are between Disney or Costco I always book with Costco the price seems to be almost the same and they throw in some extras like premium dining, photopass, and or a gift card.

I live in NYC - one person, no car, tiny apartment. I don’t do Costco.

Two words of caution booking Good Neighbor though Disney...

1) You are subject to the package cancellation terms which can be much more restrictive then booking direct should something unexpectedly come up.

2) Many have reported finding deals and/or cheaper rooms booking direct vs the package for the same room and same dates...so do your homework.

Not sure what other perks they are offering with packages but know all the Good Neighbor Hotels are just third party properties that Disney has a booking agreement with...but other than that there is zero Disney affiliation.

We did the package and I've been paying it monthly with my 2nd job income. I know I could get it cheaper booking myself -- I've done it before -- but it's what's right for us at this point in time. I don't have Costco either and booked through a friend that is a travel agent. Super easy to just make a payment when I get paid and we're about to pay it off a few months ahead of time.

Make sure you are saving money by booking the package or getting some good benefits. I've always found that booking hotel, flight, and park separately was the way to go.

If you ever get burned out on NYC we would welcome you with open arms in Seattle. We are always looking for some great special ed teachers. They are always hiring and the pay is pretty good. I think the experienced teachers with a masters are making $80-$90k and we have no income tax. Of course the cost of living really is about the same as NYC outside of Manhattan. :)

For me, the biggest perk was being able to make monthly payments with my Disney Visa and getting 6 months interest-free financing on each payment.
