Package with TC - Just customerised magic bands!!!

ooh so excited, just customerised magic bands :cool1:

Didn't need the disney ref after all, it accepted the 8 digit Thomas Cook booking ref, but only just today, as I tried this about a month ago. Then when I linked the Disney on-site reservation it gave me a 12 digit reference number :goodvibes
 
How do you go about customising your magic band? We go in November and can't find how
 
Once you have linked your disney on site reservation in the My Disney Experience app, it will show in the first screen you log into. There will be a tick next to "resort reservation" then under that there will be "Personalize your magic bands" and the date next to it is the final date you can do this. Good luck! :)
 
I thought magic bands are only available for US mailing addresses?

They are available to all guests with an onsite reservation and to all AP holders. They only ship to US addresses but are delivered to the resort for collection on check in for anyone outside the USA

I'm confused. I'm a DVC member and annual pass holder (I've paid for them and collections and activating to use on our first day)

So as annual pass holder can I have a magic band?? I've search Dsney and found this.....

Yes, once you link your pass to MDE it will give you the option to customise a MB. This only appear once you have an active pass I believe.

You can have your MB shipped to your resort address - you just need to get it sent around 10 days before your arrival.

No MBs are posted internationally.
 
Sorry to jump onto this thread but am having a bit of trouble with the who customising our magic bands as well and hope someone can help?? Our resort reservation, tickets and dining plan have been linked up to MDE and it says we have 3 Magic Bands to customise but when I go to customise them, it asks me to enter a US shipping address and won't let me customise them unless I do. Is there something I'm doing wrong or do you think I need to get on the phone to Disney?? TIA! :)

I had this same issue!

You have to do it online - it doesn't work through the MDE app but works fine in explorer with a UK address.
 
App is hit or miss most of the times and riddled with glitches at the moment. Agreed, your best bet for anything that doesnt work on the app is likely to work on the website.

Hi:) we're going with tc too!

How far away from your trip are you? And at what point did you link your trip with mde?

We're over a year away still so I'm sure it's far too early to link to mde for us.
 
Using the OP's ticker for reference, it looks like about 7 months, so in good time to make ADR's :)

We are going 23 October, was able to link reservation at 7 months to go, may have been able to do sooner but that's when I tried it. ;)

I'm going to give it a go on the app towards the end of the year.

Really can't wait to get some reservations! Hoping I can get CRT for dd and I to have a girly princess day at mk while dh meets his friend. Fingers crossed!! The other one I really want is 'Ohana for the breakfast with Lilo and Stitch as Stitch is our favourite character.
