package vs paying seperate

I keep reading its cheaper to order speprate. Is this true especially just for a room and POP and 7 day basic tickets/

I also read to make ressies for a room. then call back another day to add on tickets because CM's try to get you to get a package with tickets and room and it will cost more. I dont get it-how?

I have a Disney visa and I want to get the 6 month 0%. If i make ressie for room, then call back another day will it still quailfy for the 6 months 0% ?

I always do everything separate because I think it saves me money. I get a room with a AAA discount, buy tickets from one of the online ticket sellers, undecovertourist or used to use ticketmania. The only reason I would get a package would be if there was some special deal being offered. But just a package from disney offers me nothing. However, if you want the 0% deal from the vias card, I think you need to book a package. I don't think it is offered if you just get a room only reservation.

Yes, you can call and ask if there is a AAA discount available for your resort and the dates you have reserved. If it is a room only reservation, and it is available then disney can apply the discount for you. You may be asked for your AAA membership number, seems like sometimes they ask, sometimes they don't.

They have to ask on all calls for AAA room onlys or they get dinged on their quality monitoring

The only way to receive the 0% is to book a package. You cannot receive the 0% on a room only. You should be able to upgrade to the package if you like. Just call and see.
