After seeing the new offer, I just called CRO and now I am really confused. This doesn't seem like much of a discount if what he is telling me is correct. What do you think?
Existing ROOM ONLY reservation with AAA discount:
GF LV 3 nights: $1,193
AK Concierge 3 nights: $1,234
If I change to a package using the Magic Your Way With Dining and the VISA discount:
GF LV 3 nights w/ dining and 2 day only tickets (no insurance): $1,936.32
He couldn't give me information for the AK portion because there isn't any availability for our dates.
The difference is an additional $743 for 3 days to add Dining and 2 tickets. There are 3 of us (DH, DD, and me), so the way I figure it is $261 for 3 days of dining, and even if I purchased the tickets themselves, it would be $397 for the 3 of us.
Am I missing something here? Or is it cheaper for me to just keep the AAA discount?
Also, when I price the same package on the Disney website which I believe includes insurance for the same 3 days with dining and 2 day park tickets the total is $2,057. So, it seems to me that the only difference between full price and the discounted VISA price of $1,936 is the insurance being taken out.
Phew....does that make any sense?
Thanks in advance for your insight!
