Package to room Only

i originally went with a package for our trip Dec 1-4. Now that I have found tickets cheaper through USSSA I was gonna go that route. Well I was told that they can't just take my tickets off. There is no rooms available at AOA LM to switch to a room only. Is this true?

I don't know about no LM rooms being available. But I do know that you can't just remove tickets from a package and make it a room only. Room only and packages are booked on 2 completely separate systems. Your package would have to be cancelled and then rebooked as a room only with a new deposit too. Then whatever deposit or other $$ you paid toward your package would have to be refunded to you.

Just checked online and there is no availability for AoA LM for your dates. My experience has been that you can usually add to a room only but can not remove package items to make a room only. Must cancel and rebook as a room only.

Call and ask to speak to someone in guest services. As dansdad posted, since RO and packages are different reservation systems, changing from one reservation type to the other requires cancelling and rebooking. If the resort/room type you have booked is no longer available, guest services can make the change without you losing that room type, but CRO CMs don't have that ability. They can't make that change without you losing the room as they can only go by what's showing as available. You will still have to make a new deposit for the RO and wait for a refund of your package deposit, but the change can be done by guest services. Good luck!
