Package reservation with concurrent room-only

Is it possible to add a room-only reservation to a package reservation without adding more people? My MIL is traveling with 2 friends. They have 2 rooms booked for FD. It would be so much cheaper if they could book all 3 in one room for FD, and use room only discount for the second room. Wondering...???

Only way I can think is to change the name to a variation of one of the names (for the second room only discount).

Yes, you can do it. How are the rooms booked now? With 1 in one room and 2 in the other? Just know, if you put 3 in one room, they will be paying an extra adult fee, so factor that into the overall costs. Just make sure the lead guest isn't the same on both rooms and I would only list two people in the room-only room to avoid paying another extra adult fee.
