Now that 2020 is off the table, we are thinking about 2021. If I booked a villa cash, could I make it a package for 4 but not the other 2 on the reservation (they have AP). If so, how?

When you say a package do you mean including Tickets and dining? Generally all people in the same accommodations have to all have the same parts of their package. Disney does allow you to do a ticketless package that includes dining. But, you would then need to buy your ticket separately. If you mean can two people be on a package with tickets, and two people be on a package without tickets, In the past the answer has been no. If you’re not looking at dining, there’s no need to make a package. Just buy your tickets separately.

They need to be added to the reservation in order to be eligible for the DDP, EMH, and resort privileges.

Not dinning. Our eating style doesn't make that work at all. More tickets. It was easy to cancel our tickets this year because it was package. My parents have AP though. We want to get a villa for all of us. I'm doing the buying and planning so it won't be an AP discount. I'd like to get myself, husband, and kids tickets tied to the room ideally though.

That makes sense. For the cost of a deposit, it is also an easy way to lock-in a rate before an increase.

The only way we’ve been able to add our adult children for a partial stay on our villa/package is at the front desk as a day-guest. They will be issued generic key-cards for resort gate/room access, but no EMH or charging privileges. It’s also something to think about if utilizing DME.

No, you cannot add tickets for only 4 out of 6 people listed on a package reservation. If you would like the tickets linked as a package, your parents could just save those package tickets and use them toward their next AP renewal.

And just get a short ticket and upgrade it when you check in if you can with these newer type tickets.
