i booked our next trip for ashleighs birthday but now the price has dropped almost 100 euros under a new offer. is there anything i can do or am i stuck with the original price?

thanks
Sonya

I'm afraid you're stuck with it.

What we usually do, if a better offer comes up is see if there's any way we can upgrade, they will happily give you a new offer if you upgrade your current booking (so say another night, a better room etc).. often because of the offer this can be done for little more, or sometimes even less... perhaps an option?

thanks for your reply. do you know if adding a meal plan onto your booking counts as an upgrade?

a poster on the TA forum managed to get a meal at Auberge added to her booking for an extra 8 pounds because of this new offer! She had to phone back twice though before she got a CM who did this for her so worth perservering!

It did for us last year - we were at the Newport Bay and I added the half-board plus meal plan and upgraded the room for only a few pounds more a day. Good luck :wizard: and if you don't get anywhere first time then keep on trying - it also seems to be more successful if you phone Disney direct in France rather than the booking numbers.

thanks im going to give it a shot later. the worst they can say is no. i would prefer if i could do it with a meal plan but if not i will try add an extra day.

Hi Sonya, are you staying at SF again ?
If you are ring them up and say you want to upgrade to a Rio Grande room, can't remember the name of the other one at SF, it shouldn't be too much extra, but then you could do what I did and ring them back a few days later and say you have decided you don't need the upgrade room and would prefer standard. You're still way outside the final payment period so you could even leave it until the balance is due to ring and downgrade back to a standard room.

This worked for me at cheyenne when I wanted to make use of the HB dining offer :)

i just rang and added on half board standard meal vouchers.

i thought i had paid a good price originally with 560 for me and ash six nights in the cheyenne and now i have our food sorted for only an extra 130. im pretty pleased with that.

the guy was really nice, i could have upgraded the room, the hotel, added on a meal option etc. just as long as you brought the amount up to what i had originally booked.

:thumbsup2
Well done on getting the meal plan added. I actually prefer to have the HB plan in place, it makes budgeting so much easier, don't need to carry as much money and you can always use them at face value, we did at Cafe Mickey. The Cheyenne dinner buffet is awesome, it was OH and the boys favourite and there's fresh fruit available, I took a couple of apples and oranges from it.

yes we are definitely going to try the buffet at the cheyenne this year. im much happier now as i feel i got a good bargain. sure it would have been cheaper if i had waited to book but after the price i paid to go in june anything seems cheap :rotfl:
