Ok, here's my dilema = the WWoHP Package is almost $200 more than booking using AAA for the same time frame. So my question is for everyone - do y'all think that having breakfast at Three Broomsticks & the souvenir ticket is worth the extra almost $200?

Both would include the Club Room for 3-nights, park-to-park ticket & FOTL (of course) for a family of four.

I have till Wednesday to decide, PLEASE help with the decision :)

You also get 1 hour early admission to attractions at WWOHP. For us, the package was $150 more than AAA rate, and we decided to go for the package, mainly because of the early entry.

I think the early entry is important especially this summer. :thumbsup2

Won't she get the early entry anyway just for staying onsite--at least that is what I was told:lmao:

Yep...that is my understanding also.

$200 for breakfast and special ticket? imo, no...not worth it. Save the $200 to spend on souvies or food.

I was told package people would get in an hour early and resort guests thirty minutes early.

We don't know what kind of breakfast is included. Buffet? Counter service? Plated Service? It's possible the breakfast is worth $100 for a family of 4.

Getting into the WWoHP an hour makes sense if your package hotel is at a partner hotel. Probably not as important if you're staying at one of the three Universal hotels.

I'd probably save the $200.

I was told that only package people would get in early. I still haven't cancelled my room only ressie and will cancel the package (I have until July) if I find that I don't need the package to get in early. That was the main reason I booked package, because of the early entry to WWOHP; the breakfast and the room difference didn't seem worth the extra $150 to me (obstructed view room at HRH versus Garden view room for package). I guess in the next few months we'll find out about early entry and whether package is worth it.

Thanks everyone!

I decided to call in the deposit for both since they are refundable and wait to see if the breakfast is worth it and whether only people on the package can get in.

Anyone know when the parks open Thanksgiving week?

did you ask your AAA if you could have the Wizarding package and apply a AAA rate to it? Never hurts to ask

I just got off the phone with someone from Universal and she said that early entry to Harry Potter is available only with the package.

when I booked my room only in march for our october trip I was told all onsite guests will have early entry to wwohp----

the bottom line to this is that nobody will really know for sure until after the grand opening who will be granted early access:upsidedow

The only problem I see with the early access for those with the package to the WWOHP is that won't most of that free time be taken up having the breakfast?

Available information suggests guests staying at one of the three Universal hotels will be able to use FoTL for the Forbidden Journey once per day. Gaining early access to Harry Potter may not be the end of the world. Guests booking the HP package, but staying at a partner hotel, might need to take advantage of early access to ride the Forbidden Journey before the line gets too long.

Which is why I booked our breakfast for 9:30, a half hour after the park opens to the public :thumbsup2

We booked room only, and were told 1/2 hour early entry. I just want in the WWoHP early or not!
