We just received an email from the building managers:
Please be advised that 52nd Street and Seventh Avenue (from 51st to 54 Streets) are temporarily closed. Police are currently investigating a suspicious package that was found in one of the floors of Sheraton Hotel (7th Avenue, between 52nd & 53rd Streets).
Our office manager attached a note:
Attached is a communication that we received from the Building. The suspicious package was detonated by the NY Police and they have reopened Seventh Avenue for vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The building has informed us that there is no reason to evacuate the building.

We heard a boom about 15 minutes ago...Of course, none of this is on any of the news sites yet...
So, either it was a bomb, or they just blew someone's underwear up Seventh Avenue!
