Package Delivery to your room

Do the shops in the theme parks still deliver your purchases to your hotel room? We stayed at the Polynesian Resort a long time ago and the stuff we bought just appeared in our room usually that same day. It was way better than having to carry the stuff around the parks and on rides.

I'd heard they stopped doing this because of 9/11 though I don't know if thats true. Does anyone know if this service is still available?

They don't come directly to your room. Instead they go to the gift shop at your resort. And you need to allow a couple of days to be sure it arrives.

Thanks tkd lisa for the feedback. Is that for all the hotels or do the deluxe ones do something more... like bringing the stuff to your room? Do you think they do that for conceirge guests?

BTW what does tkd stand for? I'm hoping it stands for Tinked Lisa. Or it could be ticked Lisa, but that would be scary.

Although they don't deliver directly to your room, it is really nice to have your purchases sent to your resort. Especially on larger items!

During busier times, be prepared to wait a few minutes for your package at the gift shop, as package delivery is very popular and the pick up counter gets busy!

It works the same at all resorts, including deluxes and DVC. The packages are sent to the gift shop, and usually arrive there the next day. There'll be a message on your room phone when the package is available. You need to take your claim check or photo ID to pick your stuff up.
