Package Delivery to Room?

Does WDW still deliver purchases to your room? I ask this because the last 2 times I stayed, the packages were delivered to my value resort's gift shop, not directly to my room.

But I recall when I stayed before (in Mods) that my purchases were delivered to my room. Can anyone clarify this? Has it changed or are things just handled differently in different resort levels?

Nope, packages are delivered to the resort gift shop. I think, but could very well be wrong, that if you are staying concierge, your packages may be sent right to the room. But that would be it. I've been going since '99 and I have yet to have my purchases sent to my room, no matter what level resort I was at.

That is exactly what is done for Club Level guests.

They used to deliver to your room. When we stayed at Poly in '98 (a garden view room-not concierge) all of our packages were delivered right to our room. When we returned 10 years later, Disney had done away with that and you could only pick up packages at the resort's gift shop. It's still a great perk but it's always a shame when Disney chips away at these services.

Thanks! It definitely was nice to have them delivered to the room, but I'm still happy that I don't have to carry them around with me.

Yup, if you stay concierge, it goes right to your room
