Package Delivery from Parks to Resort

Do they still offer free package delivery from the parks to your resort for park purchases? I hate lugging souvenirs around all day.

Yes they do. I used it nearly every day during our visit in the summer.

Be warned, you must pick them up in your hotel's gift shop and they can take up to 24 hours to be delivered.

It's an awesome perk! We make it a point to do it each trip.

We were there in Oct. and they brought our things to our room the next day .The exception to this was The Christmas store at DTD . It took 4 days to get my stuff , it was worth the wait!
We would come in from the parks and find our beds full of bags Gotta love the Disney shopping ~
We stayed at the WL .

We were at Epcot 2 years ago and purchased wine at a shop in France. They would not send it back to our rooms. Don't know if this is still true.

PSUFan - I know when my aunt sent me a welcome gift that included champagne, they couldn't leave the bottle in the room waiting for my arrival - had to personally accept it once I'd gotten there. Maybe the CM was confused on the regs?

I would think not sending wine though package pick-up or resort delivery would have more to do with broken bottels and someone under age recieving it.

it will be delivered to the resort before you make the purchase or give it to them to deliver. We, too, got the 4 day answer with only 2 days left of our vacation.

Instead of carrying packages all day, you have the option to send it to the front gate of the park and pick it up on the way out. I think they say to allow 3 hours. I've done that before.

I've heard if you are in concierge level rooms they put the stuff in your room, but standard rooms must pick upo at the hotel gift shops. Is this still true?

When we were staying at the CR last month, we found that the parks to resort deliveries were taking longer than 24 hours or next day. Just another small service slip, I think.

Just back and it took from Sunday till Friday after check out for or package to be delivered from MGM. I called twice and Concierge called twice trying to get it delivered. Have used this service before nad never had that happen.Every time a called was placed the package was there and yes all the info was correct and that we could expect it the next day but it would never make it. Concierge was going to send it to us free of charge if had not been there the last time we checked .

It was at the AKL in Feb of 2003. We stayed Concierge and our bags were delivered directly to our room. If you are not staying Concierge at the AKL then you need to pick up your bags at the gift shop.
