Package and campsites?

This may seem like a silly question, but I just recently found out that you can book a package through Disney and pay it off as you're able to as long as it's paid 40 (or is that 45?) days out.

Can you a do a package if you're staying in a campsite? I know it seems like a silly question, but when I was looking earlier I couldn't figure it out. It only looked like you could do it with cabins :confused3

Thanks!

The campsite packages are the same as hotels. You can pay them off a bit at a time, but must be paid off 45 days before your arrival date. :thumbsup2

And if you charge it on a Disney VISA card, you've got 6 months same-as-cash to pay it off. :goodvibes

This also works if you book a Disney package thru AAA.

I knew about the Disney visa thing but I didn't know about it also working that way for AAA!! Thanks for the info!!

Unless things have changed, you can also just book a site (not a package) and send money as you can. In that case the deposit is one night and the balance is not due until day of check in.

:thumbsup2 Good to know also. Thanks :)

Anyone know if you get a discount if you pay for your campsite with a Disney Visa card?

I don't believe you get any discount when using a Disney Visa. I think the only benefit of it as far as booking is that you get the 6 months interest free.

You're welcome. :goodvibes

I'm just passing it on...somebody else told me last year, and it worked out for us. I'd be lost without the DIS!

A little off topic, but if you are a AAA member it is worth it to book through them. It cost us $15, but saved us over $200 on our trip in July. We originally booked directly with Disney and even told them we were AAA members and asked for the AAA rates, so we were really surprised to find that big of a savings. We had just stopped by to see if there was any added benefit or special things we could add on as AAA members.
