Pack n Play in airplane baggage

Hello!
Any suggestions on how I can put the PnP as checked baggage without it getting damaged? Anyone else have a problem? The bag it comes with is rather thin and I am having trouble finding a large duffle type bag to put it in.

Hi--

I've flown with a Pack N Play in checked baggage numerous times and have never had a problem with it getting damaged. After the first couple of times the cover was getting kind of dirty (and one time it got wet as it was raining outside) so after that I started asking if the baggage handler could put one of those big heavy-duty plastic bags that they use for carseats on it. Sometimes they don't have a bag available, or the bag isn't big enough, but it might be worth asking, if you don't find something better...it'll spare some wear and tear on baby's bed!

If you are staying in an on-site hotel, I believe they provide pack n plays.. maybe you won't have to take yours.

HappyMommy2- I had no idea about the car seat cover--I have always taken the car seat on the plane so that is a great idea!!!

TammyC-I have had such bad experiences with the PnP/cribs that hotels have provided elsewhere (have never been to WDW) that I am a little leary. Have you used them before and have they been well taken care of/clean? That would save me so much hassle to use theirs as opposed to dragging mine along!

I just used a Pack N Play provided by the Beach Club in February. It looked fine to me.... I just wiped it down with a little lysol and used my own sheets. It sure beats lugging that thing on an airplane!

The Pack-N-Play we used at All Stars was fine, too. I brought my own sheets, as well. They don't provide Pack-N-Play sheets; they just fold a regular sheet around the mattress.
