should i use the pack n plays that the resort gives us? i am thinking of renting from a babys best friend, but that $75 would be nice to use elsewhere.....my son will be 20 months old, and sleeps in them ok at grannys house....are they in good condition, or are they gross? we'll be staying at the beach club -anyone out there who was just totally fine with them?

from abbf.com, but our baby was 7 wks then...akl had packnplays in the rooms already....my daughter sleeps in a pnp when we travel anyway...the bed might make the room seem small....i'd use the pnp & bring antibacterial wipes to clean off the pnp & ask for a sheet.

We have used pack n plays at many hotels, and they are usually cleaner than the cribs the hotels have! You can easily bring a sheet for the pnp from home, which will make it smell familiar to your daughter!

DS, now 32 months, has spent many nights in Disney pack n plays. Most recently at BCV in May.

All have been just fine, clean, and they came with a nice Disney sheet. I just brought his blanket and his teddy bear.

my son will be 2 when we go in nov/dec.....i requested bunkbeds...my daughter (5) will sleep on top and my son on the bottom.....we are driving and the thought of packing the pnp did not thrill me a bit.......

We have traveled with our little one too, who never likes to sleep in a PNP. We have used Children's Furniture Rental, (412)472-5471. This name and number was given to us by Disney and we were very pleased with their services. We had requested a full sized wooden crib, that was completely set up for us in our room when we checked in. The crib was very clean and so was the mattress. They told us that it was completely sanitized before we used it. They only charged us $9.00 a day with Disney linens too. I did bring my DD's crib sheet and blanket from home so it was something familar to her. We have stayed in many hotels and have asked for cribs but they have always been so flimsy and dirty looking and definately not full size. Children's Furniture Rental cribs are just like the ones we have at home, and are set up on the lowest setting so they can't climb out. Just give them a call for some information. I know that ABBF crib rental has to be set up by you, and most people don't want to hastle with that when you are on vacation!!! Good Luck!:wave2:

Our three year old son slept in the room pack and play and was fine - we brought our own sheets and his favorite blankets and toys and arranged it just like his bed and he drifted off just like at home. NESS:wave:

My DS, now 19 mo, still sleeps in a PNP when we travel. Unfortunately, we discovered about a month ago, that he can now climb out of it!

I found a crib tent for PNP on ebay at about 1/2 the regular price.

The PNP at the resorts have always been in excellent condition. We have stayed at 3 Disney resorts where we used them.

I think they might have regular cribs though, but I'm not sure. Reason I think this is because when we were there last time, at BCV, I couldn't find the stupid PNP (turns out it was in this trunk in the middle of the living room area), and I called the front desk to request a crib. They said, "do you want us to bring a crib, or a PNP." Since we had just arrived and it was 10:30pm, I was a bit exhausted and told them anything was fine as long as it came fast.

Anyway, this does make me think they may have real cribs (or at least portacribs.) Can't hurt to ask.

Sorry for rambling.

Yes, most of the resorts do have cribs available as well as Pack n Plays. The cribs they have at the GF were full size but a metal crib, no wooden like the ones we have at home. I know they only have a few cribs at each resort and they cannot guarantee that you will get one, so that's why we rented a full size wooden crib from Children's Furniture Rental for only $9.00 a day!:wave2:

I worked in the economy rate hotels All stars back in 98 and the pnp(pack and plays) I saw were in good condition and clean. Bring wipes if you are worried and you can always pack your own pnp sheet for the pad. :)
