I am trying to plan a trip for this summer and I am finding that the websites for the Pacific Northwest aren't that great - either there just isn't that many campgrounds out there or they don't advertise??? Ideally I am looking for a beach campground with full hook-ups. A resort maybe, with a pool or playground would be great. Silly as it sounds I would like to go check out Forks for my twilight obsession :rotfl: BUT since the rest of my family isn't twilight obsessed swimming, sandcastles etc need to be in the mix. We are looking for SAFE (since travelling with 3 kids) and CLEAN. Any suggestions?

They are out there, but they really don't advertise much. I've ran into this same problem.

If you want beach, I would recommend the Oregon coast. Something near Cannon Beach or Seaside. With that said, it is about a 4.5 hour drive to Forks. :(

I've heard Gig Harbor RV Resort (near Seattle) is really nice, but they are not on the beach. Last summer we stayed at Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell, and I really didn't care for it at all. The lake was very swampy looking, even though they said the kids could fish out of it without a license, I wouldn't let them go near it. :)

I have a Woodalls, so if you want me to look anything up I will. :thumbsup2

There are quite a few but since Ive grown up my idea of camping is now a hotel without a pool :) We did do some research last year to try camping and never got into it really found a great hotel rate and went that route. Forks is great, we did that last Sept. for Stephanie Meyer weekend and it was a blast so fun to see everything you may also want to check out Kalama WA (thier high school was used for filming as well as St. Helens OR as most of the film was done there... also if you have never been out here a quick day trip in or out of Wa off the 5 to Mt St Helens is a must this is the 30th aniversary of its eruption in may 1980.. I grew up here so if I can help in any way please PM me I would be glad to help!!
