Pa Dept of health calls scam?

So I have an unlisted number. I have gotten 2 calls from people claiming to be with the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the last one just a moment ago. During this call the person told me they were gathering info on the health practices of local Pennsylvanians. I told them I don't do phone calls. They offered to give me websites to verify, I said you could lie about all that and even if these sites do exist it doesn't mean you're affiliated with them. I asked them if the number they were calling from on caller id would be there and they said no. I asked where they got my number they said it was generated from a computer. Both times they were very persistent. I told them no. When I hung up and called the PA Dept of HEalth and guess what? They aren't even open today because it's a holiday. I left a report of people impersonating them with the answering service but I have no idea if it will go anywhere. So I'm just posting this as a warning to other people.

A week or so ago I received a very strange call from someone speaking broken English who started off by telling me: "Not a sales call.. How many smoke detectors in home?" - or something along those lines.. When I said I didn't participate in these types of phone calls the person kept saying, "Wait, wait, wait!!" I hung up..

My number is unlisted too..

Oh that sounds exactly right!

I'm filing a complaint with the police tomorrow and calling the local DA. It has to be illegal to impersonate public officials right? I have proof, it's right in my caller ID!
