He has NO appetite, so he is spending the night at the vets to see if he can give him an appetite. This is the same Dog who had a "Unknown Matter" lodged in his intestine. That is gone now, but his stomach is twisted like a Pretzel, and he has trouble digesting food. He is 16 and too old for surgery, and was on a bland diet since last week, however, today he ate nothing.:( So, it goes again............:(

Oh I'm sorry too.

My mom has a 15 year old Shih-tzu that can't see or hear but she can still eat. She lays in her 3 beds (goes from one to the other to the other all day) and seems to be happy in her old age.

I'm so sorry Faith :( My prayers are with your furbaby... I hope things turn around for him soon {{{hugs}}}

I am so sorry. Hope your little baby feels better soon. I know my doxies are human garbage disposals and if they stop eating it is a cause for concern.

Awww, Faith, I'm sorry to hear this. I hope he starts eating and feeling better very soon.

Vet called today, and said he would like to "consult" with us around 6:00pm today....doesn't sound good....he will NOT eat for them either.:( So, he is giving him nutrition with I/V. Maybe a miracle will happen, and he will come home and EAT!:confused: My DH and I cannot imagine this house without that little Dog in it.....:(

I'm sorry to hear about P.W. I sure hope he's up and eating real soon!!!

That poor baby! I hope the vet can do something to help and he's back to himself soon. :(

Aww, Faith, you've been through enough now..

PW, stop scaring your Mama!! Eat and wag that tail for us please!

God bless,

Robinrs

:bounce: And so far, he has eaten a WHOLE KFC Fried Chicken Leg minus the bone.:eek: A friend of ours came over, and gave it to him by hand....of course, the Vet shot him up with Steroids, so hopefully he will eat tomorrow.;) THANKS AGAIN for all the good thoughts, I am hoping he continues to do well, even if he has to eat KFC for the rest of his life!:) ;)

I'm glad that PW is doing better, Faith.

Oh my god, are you out of your mind? He has trouble digesting food, was on a bland diet, and you let him eat fried chicken? You are the poster child for pancreatitis!!! Did the vet not give you feeding restrictions?

Iam happy your pet is doing better ! My Weenie Dog Thomas is 10 and not in good health so I know how you must worry .I work at a 12 Doctor vet practice ,we are a 24 hour clinic so I have that to run back to if he stops eating, He does this from time to time also . I feed him A.D. it is a script diet . But if he wont eat that I grind up boiled chicken and mix it with broth and white rice .You do what you need to do to keep him comfy and you happy !!

My VET is capable of giving us feeding instructions......
