P&PP with Annual Pass? Yes or No?

We are planning on purchasing an AP for our upcoming trip in May. We always travel in May and we can therefore squeeze two trips in one AP year and can maximize the value from our AP.

So..... I have read all the Theme Park posts and I am interested in going to the P&PP however it really burns me that we will have to pay approx $120 for the three of us to spend at most 8 hours in the park while we have an AP that gets us in at all other times. We would love to see the P&PP fireworks but I doubt that our DS will be interested in collecting the beads and such at the special stations - so, I am thinking that the $120 would just give us minimal attraction lineups,P&PP fireworks and the P&P parade.

I am wondering if anyone else feels that way too or of I am just being cheap (sometimes I can be that way ). Is the party really worth a $120 for a family who already has an AP?

If you want to attend any of the hard ticket events, you must purchase a ticket for the event, even if you do have a PAP or AP. The PAP or AP only entitles you to visit the park during their normal park hours. The PAP or AP doesn't even get you into the park during EMH. You have to be a resort guest to get that. Doesn't that bug you, too?

Does the PAP or AP get you into EMH if you are staying through DVC?

if all you really want to do is see the special fireworks why not go over to Narcossee's at the Grand Flo and watch them from there. it's a great place to watch the fireworks and they play the music over the speakers. just head over a little early to snag a bench on the deck of the restaurant. plenty of people are there not to eat but just to catch the fireworks

I did not even think about it until I read thread.
We will be purchasing tickets to party on March 14th and have AP.
I guess some would say it is a waste but my kids love parties in MK!
Also friends of ours have never been to Disney and I think it will be a great intro.
