My 88 year old Dad (89 on July 4th) is going in for what is supposed to be minor surgery this morning. He has a growth/tumor/polyp (I've heard it called all three things) on his bladder that needs to be removed. The urologist told me that it should only take him 15 minutes to scrape it and then it will be gone - he has also said it is most likely cancerous. The dr. doesn't seem to be too concerned about it so I hope that is a good thing. My Dad has various ailments including congestive heart failure so any time he has to go under it is a worry. He has been to his cardiologist and his PCP this past week and they both gave him the green light to continue.
My sister will be taking him in this morning as dh & I have ds14's IEP meeting - figures they were both on the same day. He has to be in the hospital for 8:15 but not sure when the procedure will start. For you MA area DISers, he is going to St. Vincents in Worcester (Whista)
Thank you!!!!
