We're big fans of A.M. EMH's, only used P.M. once @ MK last Dec. & it was ok but, not nearly as good as the A.M.

Having a difficult time trying to schedule MNSSHP/parks/ADR's for Oct.; considering going w/most P.M. hours.

Any thoughts?

I prefer the PM hours better as the AM not everything is open for one thing. It is cooler and it really is not all that crowed.

If I was more computer literate, I'd do a poll.

So far 2 - AM, 1 - PM.:)

I still haven't gotten used to this 180 day out ADR window.

pm definatley cooler, love the lights, and longer, plus you dont have to get up early....Ha Ha

Ok... I'm a ding-ding... I can't figure it out... so I'll have to ask.... What's MNSSHP?...

Nevermind... I figured it out... it's the Halloween party...

I prefer PM hours - I don't really care about the crowds since I know the parks well enough to see anything I want to see without significant lines, but I love the parks lit up at night.

I do both AM and PM, but I prefer PM.

We only travel when school is out (peak and regular season). I've never had a problem with crowds during evening EMH. :woohoo:

We have been to 3 night time EPCOT late nights, and each time Test Track went down which left one of the thrill rides out. Soarin was 90-120 minutes wait, once in DEC and then in March...sorry but we felt EPCOT PM hours were a waste of time, MK late nights were ok, and MGM was pretty good.
As for AM early hours? seemed to work every time, anytime we went. Don't know if people are afraid that everyone is there or they just don't get up that early. They worked great, only complaint ever was EPCOTS PM hours, just not worth the crowds and chaos.

Thanks for your opinions...do think the am's work well, back to planning.

We have done both at MK only and am in all the other parks. In the morning, parts of the parks are fairly empty and in the evening the lights at Mk give you a totally different feel.

I'm having the same dilemma. I’m leaning towards a couple of EMH mornings during our visit and going to some parks during a late night (i.e. the MK), but not on an EMH day. I don’t want to plan a late night EMH at a park only to find out it is too crowded to deal with. We had one E-Ride Night at the MK a few years ago that was exceptionally crowded. (E-Ride was the extra 3 hours resort guests could pay for on certain nights for the MK.) :guilty:

I know its not the “end of the world” if its crowded, but a late night would hinder us from getting up early the next day and getting to a park at opening time; so, the late night needs to be worthwhile. Whether its an EMH morning or a regular park opening time, I definitely like getting to a park just prior to opening and taking advantage of low crowds during the early morning hours.

I've had OK luck with the AM EMH's, but the PM EMH's have always been so crowded that it wasn't worth staying up late for.

We did both AM and PM EMH's on the same day! :sunny: We enjoyed the AM EMHs much more than we did the PM. It seems that more people are willing to stay up later than to get up a couple hours earlier. AM's for us...all the way.

None of us are morning people. It would be so difficult for us to get there for that. So my vote is for the PM. :thumbsup2

We typically avoid them both, but have done each at some point. The following rings true when choosing between AM or PM: It is easier to stay up than get up. ;)

Easier for you, possibly, but easier for the crowd definitely.

Thanks to all who posted:)

Went with the EMH mornings, hate to see the troops get used to sleeping in on vacation.;)

Think we'll try the one evening @ Epcot.. I've always skipped over this info before, 2 questions:

1) does FW stay open after it closes to public @ 7:00 p.m.?

2) what time does rest of park close after Illum?

I get up at 5am 51 weeks of the year, so I'll let all of you guess which EMH hours I like ;)

I'm an early riser too; that's another reason why I like EMH morning hours. :thumbsup2

if you don't have hoppers or aren't staying on Disney property, avoid parks with them entirely.

The morning ones are good if you go and then go back to your hotel for napsie, then hop to another place. But keep in mind, they do fill the park up. On normal days by 11am, prime touring time is over. On EMH, days, that occurs at about 10-10:30.
The evening ones are better the later they are. But the problem is, the later they are, the less likely YOU are to want to get up the next day and get to that next park during prime touring time in the morning.

One note. If they suddenly add an emh while you are down there, regardless of park, avoid it. It means Disney thinks the park is going to be full for whatever reason. Obviously you cannot avoid it if during the week you're down there, they add one for MK every day. OOPs. I'd hate to be staying offsite THAT week.

Two note. NEVER, go to a morning emh park at regular opening time (Missing the emh in effect)
