Im sure i've read about a few places that open oysters for a price and then give you said pearl inside or charge you to stick it in some jewelry.

However i cant seem to find where it is that does this? can anyone help? i have a devious scheme in mind for a suprise for jessica heh.

I got mine in a big shop that sells things to do with shells on the 192. Cant remember how far along though.

hrmm bizzare. my first search turned up zero results. just did another and found some trip reports telling me sea world and epcot do them. silly search engine /smack

anyhoo does anyone know how much it costs to get one opened?

Don't know about the cost, but I do remember walking past one of these stalls on our last trip. If memories serves it was around Stormalong Bay by the Yacht & Beach Club resorts.

You could either drive to one of these directly, or nip out through the International Gateway from Epcot - it would only be a 5-10 minute walk. Stay to the right when you leave Epcot and head anti-clockwise around the lake, the stall will be on your left.

Rhys,

I vaguely remember a Trip Report where someone did this and I think it was at AK?

we didn't do this but we stod and watched this at Islands of Advenutre (if I remember correctly, it was near the talking fountain), they had some beautiful jewelry and one lady got the most amazing pale pink pearl from her oyster, it was beautiful!

Rhys - funnily enough someone has just talked about oysters on Trip Planning

Check out the thread - it's at the bottom but looks like TL also do them. They seem to be everywhere :teeth:
