Okay, my wife must have slipped me something, cause I don't know how I would have ever agreed to this. We are going to Universal on Monday for 3 nights, I decided to see why it cost so much. We are staying on Club Level at the HRH. $542 a night!!! HOLY COW!!! I need oxygen right away for that news. Phew, friends please tell me this is worth the money, PLEASE!!

Is it spring break time yet- is that why? Sounds like a lot to me but I've never stayed CL there. My husband wouldn't just need oxygen for that price- he would need CPR! :scared1:

Regular rooms are $375/night for that same time period (including tax). I really don't think you are going to be able to get your money's worth. Over $150/night extra for club? Not a chance. Royal Pacific is $454 including tax for club which is still not worth it or even close.

Did you ask for AAA rates? (assuming you have AAA of course)

This really is such a subjective question. It really depends on your definition of "worth the money". If you're the kind of person who goes around with a calculator adding up what this bagel and that can of beer would have otherwise cost you, then no you're not getting your money's worth. If you're someone who doesn't mind spending a few extra dollars to have added conveniences and little extras then it's probably worth it for you. I personally feel like we work hard all year so when it comes to vacation it's nice to spoil yourself and make it as top notch as possible - but I completely understand someone not wanting to spend the extra money too

I don't mind the extra spending, I mean this is what my wife wants. She has put up with me playing golf on weekends, and god knows what else. So, when I can, I give her what she wants. But, I have to admit, the price did take my breathe away at first!!!

i don't go during spring break due to the crowds and the hotel holiday rates.
i don't like crowds.
did them in the past but never again.

i stick with time periods where the hotel costs don't faze me.
i stay about 9 nights and do spend time in the room to enjoy it.

op, that is some crazy rate you have.
i feel your pain.....

that's a lot of moola for a short stay.
switch from club if you can if you want to make it a cheaper stay.
for the money you save by not doing club, you could eat well.

I so very much agree. $450 just for a lounge to sit in and some food to eat? Nah. Well wait, if you're not going to the parks, then that's good. You'll have time to be there and soak it all up. Otherwise, spend $100 to rent a car and go to the store for snacks you would choose (not just whatever they put out), get a fridge for your room, and really relax, alone in your room, not with a room with strangers.

Just my opinion (as the wife that plans all of our trips and convinces DH to pay for them but would never be happy throwing away $450 on something that could never possibly be worth it!).
