Owning points at more than one DVC

For those of you who have points at more than one DVC resort, how do you manage bookings before the 7 month window?
Let's say you have 300pts total-- 150 at BCV and 150 at SSR--- how do you book a one week trip in a 2-bedroom (314 and 282 are high and low points it takes to book a 2-bedroom for a week at BCV).
At 11 months do you book half the week at BCV and half at SSR and hope to change one at 7 months?
Do you use two years worth points from BCV to book the whole stay at 11 months there and then next year use two years of SSR points to book at SSR at 11 months?

We're pretty new to DVC, just two trips 'home' under our belts last year and with our oldest starting school this year we would like to starting planning trips well in advance so we're just curious how others manange there points when booking between the 11 and 7 month windows????

Unless you want to chance having to change resorts mid-trip, the using two years worth of points is my preferred method. We own at the BWV and the BCV. If we want to stay longer than the number of points we have, I borrow the points and then use the other resort for the next trip.

We often stay for our first or last weekend at the Hard Rock so we don't like switching two separate times.

Using two years worth of points for one resort via banking/borrowing, and then every other year swap which resort you're going to, is probably your best bet, if you want to be using your 11-month window.
