Owning Multiple Resorts

I seem to remember some discussions several months back about problems making reservations when you own at two different resorts; the poster said that Member Services always used the oldest points first and did not let you choose which resort "to spend" -- for example, the issue was whether you are able to bank your points at BWV so that you can save up enough for an 11 month window but spend/borrow your OKW points for a current reservation.

Does anyone have any experience in this regard? thx!

There is no issue when booking within the home resort period of 11 months, as only the points you own at that resort can be used to book that resort.

I believe, if I am recalling this correctly, there is an issue at the 7-mo window.

Let's say I own at SSR and BCV. I call at 7-mo and try to book BCV with my SSR points, and there are still BCV points in my account. I think the system will pull in the BCV points and not allow you to use the SSR points until all your BCV points are gone.

I don't believe that is true anymore. I recently called MS to book a reservation at AKV. I was at the 6-month point. The MS CM asked me if I wanted to use my VWL points for the reservation. Perhaps that means that they have that issue fixed.

I hope they "fixed" it. It happened to me last year. The MS CM used the right points, as I immediately checked. However, the next day, when I checked again, the points I wanted to use were back and the ones I didn't want to use but were associated with that resort were gone.
