owning 2 different contracts

We are doing an add on and will own at bwv and ssr. When booking a trip, I can do 11 months at bwv and 11 months at ssr and then combine to one resort at the seven month window, right? When combining, will they take the points from which contract I want or what do they do?

Yes at 11 months out you can book at BWV using BWV points and at SSR using SSR points. Starting 7 months from check out you can use any of your points to book any resort. You should tell MS which points you want to use, otherwise they will make that decision for you!

Just for my understanding too, you can only combine the points at the 7 month mark if the 2 contracts have the same UY, correct?

We are considering a VWL add-on in the near future so this will become an issue for us too some day.

Don't forget the resort still has to have availability.

You can also possibly use banking and/or borrowing to book 100% of a trip at 11 months, just takes a little more planning.
If I ever get lucky enough to add on at another resort, I'd probably buy 1/3 the points needed and go there every 3 years, and split my remaining points into the other 2 years.

We have multiple contracts across two different resorts...

I will usually bank and borrow to stay at one of my home resorts at the 11 month window, or I wait until 7 months out and then use the points for the resort I don't plan to go to in the following year...
