I've only been on the Fantasy and haven't been on the Dream yet. I don't know if they offer the build your own cupcake dessert option on the Dream in Animator's Palate as on the Fantasy. Can anyone who's been on the Dream help confirm if they offer that?
I would be surprised if they had the room for a baking station in their kitchens. All desserts are likely frozen and then taken out to be served. Except something like a soufflé that cannot be frozen.
While "made from scratch" it may not be "fresh made". I believe that much of the things that can "sit" for a while are made way before being needed. And re-heated, unfrozen, or brought to room temp as necessary just before serving.
Yes, they sell cupcakes at Vannellopes and they can bring them to the dining room at a specific time after dinner. Just let the Vannellopes rep know the name of your server and dining room for the night you want it brought down.
Then tell your server that you ordered a cupcake/dessert from Vannellopes and they will call up to them when it is time to have it delivered.
I ordered a Minnie Mouse red velvet for my daughter and a Darth Vader chocolate and peanut butter cupcake for my son...there are several great choices and they did a great job of getting them to the table when I asked them to.
They actually aren't Wreck-it-Ralph themed. Some Vanellopes cupcakes are unthemed, some are Minnie themed, some are Beauty and the Beast themed. We were there last week & they have a good selection. Cupcakes, chocolate-covered strawberries, candy apples, ice cream and more.
Definitely you can. On the show night at Animator's I can't eat the appetizer because it has seafood. My server suggested the chicken soup off the children's menu instead which I hadn't even considered. It's apparently a standard item. Also, a friend of ours ordered Caesar salad every night even though it wasn't on the menu. Apparently, it's always available.
This is going back to page one where someone asked for comments from parents who cruised with a 1 year old re what they ate. Our son ordered off the adult menu when he cruised at that age. (We are vegerarian, so the burgers and chicken strips on the kids menu didn't work for us). The wait staff put his food on the cute Mickey head plates that the kids meals come on.
Sadly, at 5 he is now super picky so I am worried about what he will eat on our next cruise.
I don't know how picky he is (is it veggies? texture? plain foods?) but there is always plain veggies, baked potatoes, pasta, and fruit (I think) available. The kids menu has never been good for vegetarians, which is why it is nice that kids can order off the adult menu.

On our last vacation, he ate bread and fruit. Not healthy, but he didn't starve. But the main reason for my post was to let other parents to know that even the tiniest kids can order off the adult menu.
