Just wondering if anybody have experience with the Disney Ground Transport Transfer, if they will pick up oversize/fragile luggages as well?

This is our 2nd Disney cruise, and we are planning to check in our car seats at our home airport.. (as we are taking a rental car after the cruise). It will show up at the fragile/oversize section of the baggage claim and my worry is that it won't make it onto the DCL truck to the cruise.

Has anybody have any experience with this?

Truthfully, I'd worry about fragile things. The luggage handling onboard the ships isn't the gentlest. This is a luggage transfer area on the Fantasy not long ago (yes, they pretty much just toss the bags on the pile, regardless of what may be on the bottom of the pile):

you could just pick them up yourselves. They will go out to the ship with you under the bus, and then you can give them to a porter upon arrival at the terminal.

I never had a carseat show up in the fragile or oversized area. They just come slamming down the carousel with all the other luggage.

And that was both the flight I checked it with the normal baggage check and when i checked it at the gate and didn’t insist on getting it at the arrival gate. Just came down the carousel.

Which puts them in the same pile PP shows.

OP - if you want the car seats handled gently, I recommend using them on the flight, bring them to DCL transfers where they will be put under your bus, and plan to carry then onboard the ship. If you are ok with them ending up either at the bottom of a heap like above, or tossed on top but potentially falling off, go ahead and check the seats.

Enjoy your cruise!

Sorry. I thought the concern was more that the luggage wouldn’t get picked up rather than being concerned about how their car seats would be handled.

But they did point out “fragile” as well.

I think there is case of water at the bottom of that luggage pile leaking all over everyone's bags.
