Overrated snack items

I gotta say, the first few bites of the Dole Whip I was thinking "Man, this really isn't as good as what I thought it would be." Then as I kept eating it started to taste better and better. Got a second one the day before we left.

I guess I agree that it wasn't up to the expectations I had, but it was a nice snack.

Now the school bread is another story. I heard the hype, saw the thing (not impressed) but bought it because the DISer's told me to.

Man is that a GOOD SNACK! Definitely lived up to the hype!

I love Dole Whips, but I was eating them long before I found DISboards, so I didn't know about the hype.

Although its not a snack, I think Tonga Toast is way over-rated. Its so sweet and heavy, its disgusting. IMHO, of course....

I agree with rice cream. Also, in Japan, the Kaki Gori. I guess that's because we have a similar (but much better) thing here, the Raspa. But the Kaki Gori is more sticky sweet.

I agree about the Dole Whip. When I finally tried one it was like... eh, not so special.

Glad I wasn't the only one. I kept wondering why do people on the dis rave about these? They are not for me.

I have to admit after all the hype on the boards, I tried and hated the zebra domes. I really, really wanted to like them. Still can't imagine why alot of people at Bomas were putting tons of them on their plates. lol
