Does anyone know of any airlines flying overnight to Orlando from either Birmingham or Manchester or even London if it leaves after 9pm?

All the direct flights to Orlando leave the UK in the morning and return overnight.

You only choice might be indirect via NY from London.

I've often wished they did overnight flights to Orlando but if you do a bit of math on it, you soon see that with the time zone difference, you'd need too leave at an absurd hour of the night or arrive at an even more ridiculous one.

Never thought about going via New York. Do they do night flights to JFK? (You have me curious now, yet too lazy to go look lol)

I doubt I will find anything but was just trying to avoid the kids missing an extra day of school just for traveling. They are all older and travel yearly to the west coast to visit family so I'm not too worried about the horrible arrival/departure times.

My husband did suggest going through NY (one of our favorite places) but there are LONG layovers from what I can see where total flight times is 20+ hours.

Oh well - back to the drawing board unless anyone else can shed some light :)

We did a late indirect flight with an overnight stopover (around 12 hours). Even with the cost of the hotel (subsidised by the airline), it was a great deal so we went for it. We got a good night's sleep, a flight at 7am the next day and were at our hotel well before lunch having slept off the jet lag :thumbsup2

Hi

Unless you go on a very obscure indirect route, you won't find one.

General principle of air travel is early to fly west, late to fly east - it helps the body adjust to time zones but also assists with air traffic control. So only some routes will permit night travel.

Virgin have flights leaving Heathrow to JFK at 20.05 and to Newark at 20.30. The arrive 23.00 ish in New York.

You would probably have to overnight in NY but could get a very early flight the next day.
