Overlapping Reservations.

I currently have a week booked at Boardwalk Villas, not using DVC points (inbound trade through Interval International), the week of January 17th. I also have one night booked at Saratoga Springs in a Studio as a throwaway reservation to try to get moonlight magic, as the 13 points it cost for the Studio was worth it for us. However, I’m now wondering if Disney is going to cancel my studio reservation if I try to keep both (and never actually physically check into the studio). Does anyone have any experience with this? I can always cancel the studio now and give up on trying to get MM I guess.

They do not cancel. I book rooms for the same night a lot when I split stay so I am not homeless.

If you are worried, though, just add a few names to the studio that are different than who is on the inbound exchange.

This way, the guest list for each is slightly different!

Thank you! So I shouldn’t have problems adding them both to my MDE and then using online check in? I don’t think I can change the names, the same 4 people are the ones I am trying to get MM tickets for.

Names don’t really matter when it comes to register for MM.

Because you have a studio, you can get 5 tickets with early registration, no matter what.

But yes, you can link both. I have an overlapping night in January and both are linked to MDE right now.

Where it makes a difference can be with your Magic Band that day opening both..but since you aren’t actually going to use both, and will only keep if you get the tickets, it won’t be an issue!
