I wanted to take a little time to say a long overdue thanks to the ol DisBoards. Back in 2009 I was stationed in Iraq for a long 12 months. Before being deployed my family and I decided when I returned home we would journey to Disney World. In Iraq I was able to get to a computer/internet on occasion, which I took the time to look up information on Disney. This is when I came across this forum. Let me tell you it was a blessing. For an hour or so I would get lost in all the recommendations, reviews, and most important families writing about their positive Disney Experience. I became lost in stories and pictures, almost forgetting where I was. I could also write home or talk on the phone of future ideas regarding Disney world(my wife is a DW junkie). My wife wondered how I knew so much or had so many intelligent ideas regarding DW. With all the stress we liked to stay future oriented. And may I say when we finally made it to Magic Kingdom and walked out onto Main Street, seeing the castle and having all my senses Disnafied a small tear came to my eye. I see why some people call it home.
We are going again in 20 days.. And I get a lot of "you going again? don't you want to experience something new?" I just smile and shrug my shoulders
