Overdoing room requests?

We are leaving for Pop the beginning of September in a preferred room. When booking our vacation, I've already asked for a non-smoking room, a portacrib, and bed rails. I'd also really like to ask for a first floor lake view (even though they're not prefered). Do you think that would be over the top with the other requests?

First off :welcome: to the DIS! We are glad you found us!

Now remove the request for no smoking - all rooms are no smoking.

Secondly the crib and bedrails are not really the same as a request for a certain location.

I say call reservations and have them add that as a request....

Disney will do there best to accomodate you, but the more requests you make, the harder that becomes.

If none of the preferred rooms are first floor lake view why would you make that a request? Are you asking for a downgrade or a free upgrade?

I never make a location request until I'm checking in and have gotten my choice almost every time. They really try to give you what you ask for.

Thanks for the help! I've been a long time lurker and was one of the people up to call at 6:59 a.m. the day free dining became available to the public. At that time, not all of the resorts were smoke free, so I can change that request. Also, the only room available at POP was preferred. But, DH would rather face the lake than the pool, and we have a baby so I'd like to keep it as quiet as we can.

There are some partial lake view rooms in the 60s section, but no preferred rooms will have direct lake view like you can get with some of the other buildings.

Some preferred locations do offer a really quiet atmosphere. You can simply ask the person checking you in that you would like a quiet room, ground floor, facing away from the pool.

Here is a link to a preferred room location map of Pop thanks to willcad and his site:

I would ask for the first floor lake view and remove all other requests. Once I arrived, I would call and ask for the bedrail and crib...
